Michelle, I read it all in one sitting. You're a talented woman and good looking too! I love that picture of you standing on the wall....so skinny. I enjoyed each day especially the one about your husband.

You know what, Jamaica is a lovely retreat from our reality of the US, but it holds a reality of its own. Often we love to romantize Jamaica, but the reality is, it has its fair share of problems and issues. Life is good when you can find a balance between both based on reality. Hard to do I know because you are in paradise, but reality always has a way of finding you even when we want to escape. So, I think if you always strive to keep things real, you are way ahead of the game.

I am thankful though, that you were there for me in my hour of crying, and reality checking in. Thanks for the tissue and not laughing at me when it was stuck all over my face. Girl, all I know is that after that release, I was ready for bed and another day. Purging..., its good for your soul. So, when you called me from Jamaica crying, I was saddened but knew that you had held that cry from the beginning of the trip until that moment. Now that you allowed yourself to release those pent up anxieties and hurt, I knew that healing was on its way

I love your pictures and want to see more. I know you had a entire camera full, so post more...please. Its our way of keeping close to the island until we return.

We want to thank you for always following our adventures and commenting postively. I have yet to meet you, but I get good vibes,as I did from many of the ladies on this board, and I am looking forward to the day when you do travel with us.

Angie, my partner, really YOUR cry did ME a lot of good. You are such a tower of strength and sensibility that I was honored to hand you your tissue and see your vulnerable side.

Jamaica is a lovely retreat for some, but what makes the difference is when you start getting involved with people, because when you do that, you open yourself up. For example. Miss Inez told Felecia, Tasha and I that many people stay at Blue Vista for a week or more and never even ask their names or have ANY direct conversation with them other than to ask for services.

For us she and Miss Brenda were so much more than that. Now for me, a trip to Jamaica must include even 5 minutes with her, and to do that, I drive half way across the island sometimes. If anything were to ever happen to her, it would be as though I lost my mother, for others....they would not even know or care.

My first traveling partner said that she objects to me making Jamaica a second home. She says she never wants to get that attached to any one place. My mother says "familiarity breeds contempt" She also says "you are going to wear out your welcome" there. The tears, yours and mine, came from attachments made that go the way things go in the real world.

Personally, although it is not always pleasant, I prefer to feel, and I know you do too, although sometimes there is a price to pay.

Yeah, I got some wake up calls and lessons learned this past trip, as you did also. We also learned a LOT about this business and how to run it, but this was also the trip in which we got this wake up call: WE REALLY ARE IN BUSINESS, it's not a game or a fantasy anymore, so we have to step up to the plate, which we did.

As for pictures, I honestly think I have posted all of them between my report, VI's and the signs post I did, I think that is all of them. I will just look forward to point and click on the next trip.

Well, all I can say is those pictures of me swinging from the vines in Ochi cannot be displayed on this board. Trust me...they aint ready for all that jelly!

You know, of all the disappointments in Jamaica, the largest is that no one brings you flowers even though they are free...such a simply thing. While reading your post, this song kept playing over and over in my mind...

I loved hearing about the rest of your Ochi time!
I can only imagine the feeling after all of your sisters left and you were "alone".

But you reached in and gathered your inner strength and trudged on. You found some new places to explore with some wonderful people and got to have some more new experiences!
