Meals at the Inn are amazing. Breakfast every day generally consisted of granola, fresh cow's milk, a fresh fruit plate (with amazing grapefruit), homemade pastries (which are amazing) and fresh OJ. I also had a smoked marlin egg white omlette one day, and rasta ackee (no saltfish) another. They serve the traditional stuff as well - bammy and calaloo. Scott tried a bunch of the breakfasts, but the Ocean Spa Breakfast (which I mentioned above) was perfect for me.

Ahhh, then onto lunch - served until 2:30 pm. Again, always an ample amount of food, but the portion sizes were reasonable, and the presentation, outstanding.

I had my imaginary Romantic Valentine Dinner at that very table, had my imaginary Romantic Valentine night in one of those lovely rooms at the Inn, and had my Romantic Morning After Valentines Night at the table next to yours .... A few final comments on JI:
The White Suite, which is the one in which Churchill stayed, is amazing. As Scott said "this is how the other half has been living for 54 years". If you want a romantic vacation, want to propose to someone, or want to get married at an amazing property, the White Suite is for you. Of course, it is $1500 per night during the high season, but you're worth it.

Tonight, we drag ourselves to dinner, so tired from the long day (Jungle Boogie, 3:30 a.m., glycerin, forgotten bag, remember?) We agreed that certain places you visit strike your very soul – a feeling that you are at home, and not all places do it for you. For some people, that place is Aspen, Colorado or Paris, France or Taos, New Mexico or whatever. For us, it is the West Indies. It just feels right.
We are so tired we decide to have dessert in the room. They brought down coconut cake which we both ordered. I was literally too tired to eat mine (but I had it the next day – fridge on veranda).
Scott was eating his cake (for those of you who know him, there was no way he was going to bed without eating that dessert), and I was drifting off, and I remember him commenting on how good the coconut shavings were, and he said “Oh, so that’s what that stuff we get is supposed to taste like? Not stringy, waxy sh**.” I stayed awake long enough to laugh.
It’s still funny to me, because when I ate my cake the next day, even with it being a little bit fridge abused, I knew exactly what he was talking about.
