Scarry and the rest of us went to Fort Charles, maybe just a little past to a beach called "The Longest Beach". So peaceful, deserted and beautiful.

Time has run out at Treasure Beach . . . we are on our way to Zion Country in Portland. Scarry being our driver. Dorothy and a friend are along for the ride.

It started raining once we hit Yallas . . .

Portland - lush.

We all have a drink, Scarry, Dorothy and friend leave. It rains buckets for the next two days. To go up those steps to the bathroom, we are soaked! We just sit at our cabin and enjoy the view! Here are some pics from our cabin at Zion Country. And I re-counted the steps - it's 52 steps up to bathroom level from our cabin!

Sunday - first non-rainy day, we are off to Long Bay to Jackie's. We are having a great time when I spot a rasta riding a white horse. Me thinks I'm imagining things . . . looks like a vision.

We are off to a strip club in New Prospect, St. Thomas. There is a tour of 12 girls . . .
First class strip joint - running 24/7 . . . Geo would have loved it! Came home in early morning hours! Class act! Even as a woman, you have to appreciate the women's bodies - they're gorgeous!
Free-I and Victor, Owen, Free's girlfirend Patrice, Roberta and I. Roberta is incognito . . . wearing sunglasses the whole time. We are having a blast! It's strictly local, only Roberta, myself, Free and Victor - the rest are Jamaicans. The boys are swarmed by the women. All sorts of things going on . . .

The next day we are off to Winnifred Beach.
We meet the rasta - without his horse this time.

I'm on a mission to find a friend from Winnipeg, who's gone underground in JA . . . know where she stayed before . . . Maggie and I are off . . .we find her husband (didn't know she had one) Debbie has left the day before for Winnipeg - with a baby (didn't know she had that either) but glad to hear that she's alive and well. We visit for a while, Lloyd being a great host . . .

We go to Long Bay - Jackie's . . . have some drinks, look at the stars . . . just hang out . . . nice . . . it's late, we're off home. I've made a date with the rasta for the following evening . . .

Chuck and Dave arrive . . . I'm playing dominoes down the street at Paul's shop across from Free's. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I'm invited to Chuck's home in the hills. Dave drops us off in Black Rat region, just past Long Bay . . . I'm having a great time, we are in a little bar just hanging out . . .

Leaving for his home is another storey . . . it's pitch black outside, no lights . . . can't see anything in front of me . . . glad the man is holding my hand . . . i'm thinking . . . i must trust this man an awful lot - we are chatting and walking and i'm comfortable even in this pitch blackness . . .

We arrive somewhere . . . it's a little board house, 2 rooms, really quaint, no electricity, no running water, outdoor biffy . . . all really fine . . . it's really cool to see a jamaican man living alone . . . in his own home . . . the home needs a woman's touch but it's cool. We chat into the wee hours.

Daylight just breaking . . . I'm thinking how to get a shower . . . no running water . . .

I'm experiencing my first Jamaican "bath" . . . [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] . . . he pulls out this big tub that's leaning against the steps and commands me to come to the bottom step . . . i'm hesitating . . . i see a house a little further up a hill . . . the man says drop the towel and come . . . alright . . . he proceeds to bath me . . . by now it's daylight
