I think Black RIver is incredibly beautiful also...I love how it opens up so big and wide then narrows down later.

I plan a trip up the Negril river this time, wonder if it opens up the same way? It looks like it does but....

There's a big food place before you get to the alley coming from Westmoreland, not sure if you guys would have passed it coming from Black River [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70402-thinking.gif[/img] but they had the BEST peanut porridge!!! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70377-loveeyes.gif[/img]

I think I took pics at that same break in the bamboo as well.

Seveen, Sean was 19 when I took him on the Black River tour. Other than the fact that he could buy his own beers, that was the highlight of his trip! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

My kids loved Black River, we did from Treasure Beach and stoped at Pelican Bar, stopped for dolphins that came RIGHT UP to the boat, so close.

At that time my kids were 9 and 6, and my nieces were 5 and 3. They all loved it.

Evertime we drove through middle quarters we were always too stuffed to buy any shrimp. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Next time we go down there I will try and remember the peanut porridge. It reminded me of the Amish I sometimes see when driving through Pennsylvania. The driver was in a wood cart and a donkey was pulling it along the road.

I will do the little Ochi pics today, provided my boss stays outta my hair! Besides, that is where the sore bum part happened. Little Ochi continued

As we are walking down to the sea my hair was whipped around be the wind. It was so windy and warm I couldn't wait to get to the sand. I was smelling the food that the breeze carried and couldn't control the hunger pains in my belly. I was starving! When Red and I made our way into the shop, we went crazy ordering food, 2 lobster tails, snapper, bammy, festival... it was a food ordering frenzy. We picked our fish and lobster out and went and had a seat to wait for the food to be prepared.

I have never been to Little Ochi before. I was enjoying every second of it. The kids were on the beach showing off to however was watching and the people seated were eating every single scrap of food on their plate. My mouth watered as we waited for our food to come. I got my camera out and took as many pictures as I could so that I would always have a reminder of my first visit there.

So then it happened. I was standing up looking at the beach snapping photos when a woman came carrying a tray of food towards us. I recongized it as the lobster and fish we had picked out and literally had to wipe my mouth. I couldn't wait for her to get to our table. I leaned forward to get a better view of the food and couldn't believe how much there was to eat. I went to sit down in great anticipation of what I was about to much on and somehow lost my balance. I though the little bench was behind me to sit down on but it wasn't. I was holding my camera, looking at the food, and trying to sit. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img]

Next thing I know I am on the ground and a second after than I am in the sand on the beach below me. Somehow I had managed to not only fall down, directly on my bum, on the wood platform where our table was, I managed to then roll head over heels to the beach below. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] I had a mouthful of sand b/c I let out a "Yelp!" when my butt hit the wood on the platform, and I hadn't managed to get my mouth closed before I hit the sand. I fell so far to the beach below that it knocked the wind out of me. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] I couldn't help it though, I was so entranced by the food, I didn't pay attention enough to know there wasn't a seat behind me. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] To make matter worse, there were 2 or 3 other familes on the same platform as Red and I. They had all seen it, including the woman who was carrying our food. Red hopped down to where I lay and stood my up. I literally saw stars for a few seconds while I tried to catch my breath. Next thing I know, the woman who delivered our food is helping me back up to the table and everyone around claps. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70458-applaud.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70458-applaud.gif[/img]Either I had provided a great entertainment to all of them, or they were pleased I was alright. I took a bow, looked at the direction of our table, and figured it was worth the fall. The food looked so good it was understandable that it nearly knocked me out.

Below is the woman who carried our food, and helped me to the table. What a sweet woman. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I asked if I could take her picture and she posed a million different times, and told me which one I could use in the report.
