I know exactly where that is, my husband is from Tower Isle so I've spent many summers there as well as holidays. I just had never seen it spelled the way Soul spelled it. WOW, I wonder if they know each other. I'm going to have to show mr.evesisland your pics. How old was Soul when he left Jamaica?

SH didn't grow up there, he's from Spanish Town. His mom bought the house in Tower Isle just a few yrs ago. SH was grown, on his own, and had been living in the states for a good while by then.

Ok, that explains why my husband doesn't know the family. I showed him the pics and he had not seen them. He left Jamaica in 2002 but was raised in Tower Isle.

Aren't the houses/mansions beautiful there? He lives up in the hills. It's very beautiful. We hope to build soon.

I agree! I was snowed in a couple weeks ago w/my SO in New York during that Nor'easter, and this thread kept me occupied most of the day on Sunday. I was ooohing aahhhing and exclaiming over your pics until he asked me if I know you two. It was hard to explain not really, but it feels like it, since you've given us the pleasure of watching this all unfold in front of our internet eyes ... .

ok...not really on topic..and I said my ohhhs and ahhhs about 15 pages ago.....

Just wanted to add..I stayed in Tower Isle last June and loved it. It was fab...the grounds..centrally located....walking distance to the beach....had a wonderful cook...just loved it. Very cool place. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

I can remember picking out an outfit for my daughter. I said this was her "sexy" outfit. It had a bandau that had a tie that connected the top to the skort at the bottom. It was pretty with polka-dots and had a bow on the top. I had her summer pictures taken that year (she was about six or seven months old). It was too cute -- all those lil' creases and rolls with her sexy outfit on. I was OK with it when she was a baby, but by the time she started pre-school, all that "cute" was over. There are some crazy folks outside of my immeadiate domain, and I tried to keep her as neutral as possible when she was out of my sight.

I am already keeping a watchful eye out for the "guys" in the neighborhood, and I have some of my male friends that "looks like they don't want no problems" come by and be seen in drive way on the bike or in the blacked out trucks. It also doesn't help that her Momma rides by slow w/ the blacked out windows either and the "look" on her face when she puts the windows down -- ya know mean-muggin like a mug! Sitting here at my desk at Jah Freedom in Negril, I have spent the better part of the last hour, laughing out loud & keeping the tears from pouring down my face, with artistes looking at me as I burst into a hard laugh or start sniffing. A couple have looked over my shoulder to admire the beautiful pictures as I brief them on who & what is going on.
What a truly beautiful story you have to tell & I wish you both only the best that life has to offer & that along lifes roads, you pray for guidance but always remember to keep a sense of humor, just like the one you have here telling us your story, for a good laugh can carry you through some rough times.
