Re: Yahdie Back A Yahd
So now we’ve finished the latest detour but we’re completely off plan!
No worries though – tek it easy, tek it easy ...
On a very personal note, I had an aunt who passed away in early 2001. She didn’t want to be buried in NY – always home - so we had an NYC ceremony and then flew her home for service and burial at Dove Cot.
We lost her due to complications of sickle cell and congestive heart failure. The only good things I found in her passing was that she was no longer in pain, she went home to meet our maker and that she didn’t live to see 9/11 and all the madness that has and will continue to stem from it.
We were very close. She never married and had no children and was steadfast servant of her Lord. Practically on any day of the week she could be found either at church or out DOING some work or service for the someone. She was always about deeds and actions, not words. I loved her dearly. Outside of my mother, almost anything good, honest and worthwhile that I’ve learned, I learned it from her.
To that end, ANYTIME I’m in Jamaica – anytime - I go and visit her site. I don’t care if I’m in Jamaica for only 3 days - in NEGRIL - I’ve GOT to go visit her.
This trip, we were able to spend time looking for JUUUUST the plant to plant. Hope when time I go back it big, big and we can always trim it and preen it.
It just occurred to me that maybe I shouldn’t but this picture up here but I’m going to think of it as a ‘hail up’ to her.
Big up to mi Hanntie Madge!
