PapaMark I have awarded u the trophy, this report was fun, when I thought it couldn't get any better u had pictures of shrimps (swims for me). I wish I was there to get some of that fish, but I would need some bammy with it. Whenever I reach Jamaica, the first "swims" mi see, is mine.
Loved the report, and the Pelican honor system was good,thanks. About 20 mins from my house they have an egg farm (honor system), I get my eggs pay my money take my change. My family say that would not work in NYC. Audrey was fun too, something tells me she'll be taking her family there............. I have been around this board for a few years, mostly quiet by nature, but enjoying everyone's pictures and stories all the same.


My first trip to Jamaica was Summer 2002. My son had graduated from high school and the two of us went to Negril for a graduation present we could both enjoy. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]





After that first trip and I knew I had fallen into a love affair I had never experienced with travel before.

My next trip to Negril was not until the Summer of 2005. It was my honeymoon with Laura...her first trip to Jamaica as well...and she too fell in love [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] There really is no better place I have visited to feel that love [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img]





Now it's the Summer of 06 and my youngest daughter...my baby girl...is graduating from high school. Like her brother before her, she decides on a graduation trip to Negril. How great is that!!


So this is how we spent our summer vacation. I hope you all enjoy the pics.

The owner told us the newest hut was built from money donated by Princess Fergie. Apparently she had visited and fell in love with the place, so she gave him some money for capital improvements. He was not using the hut for anything at the time, out of respect for the Princess, as he awaited her return visit.

Another cool thing about the place...there were huge mango trees with ripe fruit. Dennis took to throwing things into the tree to knock down some fresh mangoes for us to munch.
Does it get any better...

ooohhh reminds me of some wattle an daub huts i use to see down in St Bess ...reminded me of the Scottish and Irish heritage...they use to use dem to dry bammy and things in them...or as store houses....mi grandmodda had one....hated dat red dirt doah...lovely shot though
