One afternoon there was a thunderstorm of thunderstorms [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

It moved in slowly but steadily...the sun seemingly reluctant to give way to the clouds...


But when it finally arrived...well... I have never seen lightening so bright and bold...nor felt thunder so loud. For a few moments... mother nature demanded our full attention and respect [img]/forums/images/graemlins/notworthy.gif[/img]

Then just like that it was over...the storm had said her piece...the sun returned...and life on the beach returned to peaceful.

We would be leaving Jamaica in the morning with a mixture of sadness and joy...

Oh Man .... this DID wrap up way to quick quick ...

I DO WISH my Sonny would feel the same passion for JaJa as I do ... he has come several times and does not have the desire at the moment. I am trying to put together a trip including my sister and some of her family for next year. I am "making" him come along one last time. I see the JOY FILLED expressions on family faces - and am hopefull to get similar smiles from him doing JaJa with me one more time ~

We will do our usual off beat stuff, but my goal is to do the same type of Pelican Bar day trip that you did. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img] all around!!

Excellent report Papa! I took my daughter for her 18th birthday and she's been a total of three times now! (I can no longer afford to foot her bill, she needs to move to the next level) My son will NOT get on a plane. I wish he would, Jamaica would change his life.

Wow.. this was an experience worth reading.

I typically come to the board when I can to sneak some JA time (lurking), and this trip report was WELL worth it. I have to post and let you know what a great report this was.

You made it come alive, gave me goosebumps, made me buss out laughing and definately made me miss JA more (a good thing).

I think your "drive through" was at Scott's Cove (though I see Middle Quarters fish and "shrimp" in your pictures), and the bar on black river with the rope swing is called Rudy's.

I love Dennis, I am so glad to see him doing well, and that trip...TB > dolphins > Pelican Bar > Black River is one of my favorites. If you do it from TB, you go straight to the river (after dolphins if they come) and then stop at Pelican on the way back....which is really nice.

Lovely photos and report, thanks so much!!! Blue Cave was the first place we stayed in Negril. and I love it there still.
