I thought I would really try to write a "real" trip report. You know, well thought-out, partially written, at least some notes. Well, it hasn't happened. Not even close....but, I need to do one, want to do one, and have promised a couple of folks I had one coming. So, here we are, stream of consiousness...sorry.
First, if you haven't read it, at least skim my LONG report Cultural Immersion in Little Bay, which is currently on Page 4 of this Forum. At least read Page 12.
I went the end of April, beginning of May...10 days with my two small children, and my adult niece. When I came home, Jamaica had once again changed me. I thought that I cared for my friends prior to that trip? I had no idea.
While I was writing that report, my husband and I were talking. Somewhere in there, a plan to try to help developed. I contacted my friend who had built his house, as a guest house, and asked if we could help. We are driven to help him and his sisters make a new start.
First things first. There is much work that remains to be done on the house. It will cost money. How much? Can he do it? Not sure, we need to figure that out....so, I plan a 5 day trip in early June to do job costing with Cug.
