Greetings

Wanted to update on Port Antonio. We drove from Negril to Port. It seems it was hit quite hard by the hurricane.

We tried to stay at the places located by blue lagoon but no current or water. The roads were really mashed up badly.

We stopped into almost every place available which we didnt mind doing cause we were on an adventure anyway but most places were just not in regular working order.

This was two weeks ago so I believe they have current and water now but the roads are really bad.

We ended up driving (in the same day) to ochi and staying there for a few days which was great. It was our first time staying in ochi and we had a really nice time.

We ended up at Fishermans Point. We explained how we had been driving for about 12 hours that day. The woman at the desk was so surprised how happy we were and hooked us up. She gave us a room on the marina one bedroom apt with cable ac and full kitchen for 60 a night.

Cool place to stay. Explored much of ochi. Will go back again.

Well thats the quick update.

We are going to stay in MOBAY next week. Just feel like exploring I guess these days.

thanks rentacellnegril . . . always good to hear first hand experiences . . . i'll be driving the same route in a couple of weeks and am glad it's passable.

fisherman's point . . . i always stay there, sometimes just overnight and get the same room overlooking the harbour for very little money [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/dance01.gif[/img] . . . great place [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/proud_jamaica.gif[/img]
