What u think about Strom's 80 odd y/old daughter- (that just revealed that he was in fact her daddy all this while)? Would your testing have revealed this info sooner?

The benefit of DNA testing really depends on peoples' motivations for taking the test and their expectations. People use the information in a variety of ways. They may be genealogists who have hit a brick wall using public records. Our information helps them complete their family research.

Some people join local African communities to learn more about and participate in the culture.

Some people have lobbied their congressmen.

Some people use it to motivate their children to learn.

Some people travel to Africa frequently and want to go to their homeland.

Some people have always been curious.

Most people believe that you have to know where you're from in order to know where you're going.

The answers go on and on.

ask her if they have Native south americans in the database. My paternal grandmother was from Venezuela and, I believe, was at least part Native american & African.
