Well...I see you answered the gay Fab 5 foolishness. What about my other questions> You are playing Toronto...a BIG show with Maxi Priest, Sparrow and more. Will you play over by Larry [Club Paradise] any time soon?

Did 'Ooh Aah' on the Countryman sound track give you exposure to new fans?

How did your recording of the Osmonds 'Love Me For a Reason' come about? I thought it was a strange choice...but a good song still.

Grub Cooper OD, is very in demand as a producer, but mainly for theatre music, ads and he works a lot with the Marley family and The Grace Thrillers. However Grub is constantly being invited to work on projects and has established himself as the best arranger of voices in Jamaican history. In fact he worked with the I-Threes on the last two Marley albums while Bob was alive.

how did u guys ever get hooked up with Sing Out Jamaica...did y'all write any of those songs....i love the lyrics to "which way Jamaica' and sometimes wish i could remember them, especially in these days

Portmore, I started learning to play the piano at the age of eight. However, before that time I received a lot of musical toys to play with. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Yes we are playing Club Paradise as usual on the same Sunday as the big shows at the Air Canada Centre, check the website. Fab 5 Live part 3 will be out by September this year and in another two years we will be putting out part 4. Oooh Waa did very well for us as it was a hit in the caribbean, and the exposure on film lead to an increased fan base. It was actually in 5 movies in all, including the hit "Something Wild" staring Melanie Griffith.

As far as "Love Me For A Reason " is concerned, we liked the songs as recorded by a R&B artist (can't remenber who), not the Osmonds version. It was a big hit in Jamiaca and Peter sang it very well and it was No1 for us in barbados amnd other caribbean countries.

Conroy Coopper (original Fab 5 leader) was the leader of Sing Out Ja when it was formed in 1966 and therefore the Fab 5 band was in fact formed because of Sing Out to serve as the Sing Out band. Most of the Sing Out original syle Jamaican somngs were written by Conroy and other fab 5 memebers. We still have programmes and words for most of the songs. If you email us at [email protected] we can see if we can get you the lyric. There si also a Sing Out website being planned ny Handell and Frankie.

Our Favourite dancehall artiste is Donovan : General Degree, GRUB: Papa San; and Frnkie - Admiral Bailey (the Coach)
