In the US we try to use the political process to effect change within our government. Are you suggesting that those of us who maybe against our governments policies athome and abroad use other than the political process to effect change if so what means do you suggest? It is very disturbing to read all these hateful comments. Thank God I know many Jamaicans, otherwise I may judge them all by what this hostile crowd has written. If you were honest human beings, you would admit to yourselves that kidnapping and slaughtering another human, regardless of color, religion or nationality, is wrong. Obviously your hatred and jealousy has taken over your senses. Besides it's very easy to hide behind a screen name. Maybe someday one of your friends or relatives is offered a job by a US or UK company to work in the Mid-East. They just may accept it because the income will make life easier on their families, including that family in Jamaica. If they are slaughtered like that, will you still feel they deserve it?
I wonder how many of you, who put down the US on a daily basis, live here because there were no jobs at home for you? How many benefit from our freedoms? Obviously you greatly benefit by the freedom of speach. Even if it is hate-speach.
I don't want to get into an argument that can't be won. I will never convince any of you that you need to judge a person on their own deeds, not the deeds of their government. It's just very very sad to think that so many people can't see past their own insecurities and hatred.
I wandered onto this website looking for information on damage after Hurricane Ivan. Everybody seemed so nice. Now that that's over with, I guess the real personalities come out.
I wonder if Richard and Maureen saw this thread after everything they have gone through in the last week to help their friends and family? Richard is American you know. In your minds he deserves to die just for that fact.

OK I don't agree with allot of what has been said on both sides of the argument in this thread, my opinion murder is wrong no matter who does the killing and what the "justification" is.

But aside from that I have to ask a question.

Why when ever there is this type of arguing going on do american board members start toting around their and others charity and donations to Jamaica like it is some sort of ball gag that makes it so Jamaicans and others can't voice their discontent with what has been perpetrated by the American government and military.

Same goes with the if you don't like it then why are you here attitude, god that's tired.

It is this type of arrogance that reinforces allot of peoples views on how the American government really is a mirror it's peoples attitude.

It's very unbecoming. Although I don't see many in this thread smelling like roses.

anyway just a frustration point of mine because I know allot of americans that aren't like this but some of the reps on this board sure make it seem like they are thinking down on Jamaica.
