Spoke with friends in Linstead. Most homes are intact where they are, but the trees and other vegetation have been uprooted. Actually they are just outside of Linstead, on the road to guys hill, just past the citrus farms.

They didn't get a lot of rain, just that howling wind. But everyone around them is safe.

Earlier, I spoke with family in St James. (Windsor, Somerton, Orange), they too got mostly wind. Not much rain, not much structural damage. Downed trees is the most damage.

I just got off the phone with Uncle Sam in Little Bay & things are OK down there for the most part. Sam lost his kitchen again but the rest of the buildings are alright, as well as the ones in the neighborhood. A few yards mashed up but nothing serious like Ivan.

Is this Roaring River in ST Ann??? My dad had a cottage there once.

Family in Kgn ok, no problems. Couple of cousins in Mandeville lost the roof off their 4 bdrm home. Good ole' zinc. And one flooded.

Are there any reports about Negril? Can't get through to my friend who lives in Old Hope. I was in Negril when Ivan hit. Came back to Negril last April. Was sad to see Rick's Cafe changed so much. Watched the Weather Channel last night and not much info reported. My prayers are with you.

Still can't get thru to any family at all in St Mary (Gayle, Guys Hill, Jessike, etc). When last we spoke to father in law on his Cable & Wutliss phone early Sunday, he said all the Digicel phones stopped working.

We've been able to easily reach my Uncle in St Ann on his LAND LINE.

Did get a call FROM a cousin on her Mega Phone this morning though! She's in Spanish Town and was able to reach some faimly in Guys Hill. 2 of our family households up there have lost their roofs but are otherwise ok.

Demma look tawp now.

Just spoke to my cousin outside of May Pen town...sounds like a fair amount of damage in our neighbourhood..missing roofs..torn up trees...she said the storm was huge..but mostly wind not much rain..her house was fine not even a drop of water inside

Negril is fine - moslty tree limbs and beach debris.
No resort/hotel damage that I have heard at this point.
