There are some countries that require anyone wishing to become a citizen to surrender any foreign passport they may have and legally renounce their prior citizenship through the consulate of their country of birth. The US has no such requirement.

i think if you go thru the formal renouciation it is not very easy to cange your mind..is not like him jus gi up his green card
