wat distresses me personally about the performance of the

PNP over their tenure, was the behaviour of the ones who sat at the feet of Joshua....i can remember as a young high school student, the fervour of their rhetoric and i thought it was really believed and dat given the chance they would really display the Nationalism they trumpetted.....mi shock fi hear all weh gwane unda cova but should not given all weh gwane in di light...and those of my years and a school career older who also came into dere own, mi shock fi see how dem tun out too....fi real...to be a labourite was to be reminded how u were not for Jamaica, u were elitist and ray ray....an mi frighten fi see how dem ape the lifestyle dem claim we were living and do us betta in how dem achieve it..fi real

that is the central issue... those who wernt there dont get it.. They mistake plithy rethoric of undeniable trusim as rality that never was not true.. The assumption that any vwiw that does not conform to a single orthoxoxy is wrong.. I never bought it totally.. But I could see teh attractive ness of suspending ones own critical thinking.. My moment of truth was a teacher telling me that most of the children now were going to high school.. I pointed out that this was not my experience ... That out of a class of over a 100 only 9 of us passed....

I recall being called a labourite ect.. /And the teacher telling me I was the exception.. I was wrong....
That moment was a seminal for me.. I never accept any opnions of anyone as gospel.. I rethough the land lease and realised the lie.. I rethought the insults thrown at me as normal it was not... To this day I dont care of anyones opnion..I dont care if they are satanist or communist.. just as long as they dont attempt to tell any one they and they alone are correct....

i dont see how that could have been possible given that the economies of scale would not be present for Jamaican products to compete competitively with imported products....wouldnt this require high govt subsidies for it to even be possible?

so the obvious the conclusion is that the PNP actions/implentations of its party ideology didnt, and still does not match said ideology to this day.

this could be said for most political parties in other countries. So, what are your thoughts as to the &quot;whys&quot; that make this unique to Jamaica and the source of the many problems/issues that are specific to Jamaica.

Michael Menlie and the PNP never intended for Jamaica to feed itself, his only intent was to rest the country from the JLP and to stay in power forever. He made a complete miscalculation that factories and institutions that were in Jamaica would keep on producing under the new ownership of the Comrades, that Soviets, Cubans, various so-called Non-Aligned Nations would all band together to trade goods and services thereby protecting each from the hegemony of the USA.

It was a huge bet that busted with severe consequences. If you get a chance watch Life and Debt (the celebrated Documentary of the Left and those who like to shake there fist at the IMF), but watch Menlie in his interview, he actually tells the truth but few will notice it simply because they have formed an opinion based on their willingness to believe that poor little Jamaica was under siege from foreign agents.
