Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), People's National Party (PNP) to Web in youth vote

You can now add the World Wide Web as a new battleground for the upcoming general elections.

This as the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has placed its political advertisements on the popular video sharing website Youtube.com. Some of the ads which have been on local radio for the past three weeks are now on the website.

When The Gleaner visited the website this week, there were eight JLP ads which were added over a week ago available for viewing.

These included "PNP old bus not changing course 1 and 2" and ads featuring the Golding family.

Good to see the JLP is using all means at its disposal to get its message out. A massive advertising offensive between now and election can do only good, provided the content is factual and the points effectively put across. So far - some good elbows and footwork. This lying, incompetent, corrupt PNP administration needs to go.

I wish they would come harder, I am looking for a "Swift Boat" Story to knock out the Comraids
So far they have not mounted an answer to the UTube Vids and their Street Ads are weak and pitiful.

What do you mean?

All the Ads, except mine are made by the JLP, in Jamaica and are for the most part the ones they run on the Air.
The Comraids have not come with anything real yet!

Just judging the ads objectively I would say that as far as the the ones using Portia's sound bite goes...Great Idea! BUT overdone to the point where it is going to lose its effectiveness.


The ones with Bruce using his family to promote him are a little weak. Let the man speak for himself noh. He has thirty seconds to get his point across to the Jamaican people via a TV ad and he has to have his wife and kids on there bigging up themselves and him. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img] A short clip with him and his family in one ad would be sufficient enough to get the point across that he is a family man.

I think the PNP are having a good laugh tonight if that is the best that the JLP can come up with.

What do you mean?

It is said that Comraid Portia has no children by birth nor by adoption. If true then she has got to be the 1st woman in power anywhere in the world so sterile.

Fi real?

On the contrary, one gets the impression that it is the JLP that is having a good laugh and the PNP quivering in a corner with fear and embarrassment.
They claim so many techno-advances and no one Comrade or groups of Comrade can mount a creditable on Air Defense or worse free on UTube of their 18 years in power.

I think Bruce is Man among men to have his family figure prominently in his campaign.
Especially a wife that successfully runs her own business, given what we know of Jamaica in this iwah.

We want to leave the dark days of PFag and highlight successful nuclear families.
