With Edward Seaga out of the picture and a new government in place with the help of the PNP (whoever is leading)the possibility exist for this to happen. I for one hope this comes to fruition ......

It should be more than obvious that given the poor economic state of the country and the lack of performance in the past that very, very few of the ideas that are put forward on each party's wish list can be accomplished.

The problems due to poverty cannot be addressed under the system as it is.
The increasing violence is actually exacerbated by loyalties to the two parties.
You all got rid of Manley and put Seaga in and the country degenerated.
You all got rid of Seaga put (thye reformed) Manley back in and the country degenerated.
Then P.J. then Portia and the country degenerated.

NOW you're going to do it again.

Why bother voting if you're not able to vote for change of direction?

Why isn't this obvious to you?
You cannot go on faith in something that has never worked.

I do understand the Jamaican reluctance for change and the propensity for big musical rah-rah political rallies and speeches that mean nothing but when is enough enough? </div></div>

So the smartest bunch of Jamaicans were the 40% no-voters.

and you will have lost that time in which you could have been working for real change.
While I don't know everything about Jamaican politrix I can see what is plain.
You well know that what I have said is true and while I realize it is hard to hear, someone should point out the obvious while everyone else is dreaming of pie in the sky .
What I post isn't really different from what you and I presume many Jamaicans already know. It's just that no one else wants to say those things.

It's like the family that has a father who is a child molester. The whole neighborhood knows about the situation but the molester's family doesn't say a thing and puts on a happy face to the world.

I guess my question is; Are my opinions resented because I'm not a Jamaican ?
Or is it that some feel that I am incorrect in what I say (and if so, what is incorrect?)
Or is it that those who don't like what I say don't like it because what I say is unpleasant but true and that it is felt by many that the Jamaican electoral/political system cannot effectively respond to the huge problems facing Jamaica?

These are serious questions and not an attempt to debate.
I'd like to understand the thinking of those interested in the subject matter and who dislike or oppose my positions.

I do feel there is a general absence of opinion that takes in the reality of Jamaica's history as regards the ineffectiveness of the two ruling parties to deal with Jamaica's problems.
That is what my part is in this forum.
