We should force the current Administration to Change Course.
We should take common positions and put it forward to the Government and by extension the people of Jamaica.

who said he was first, most important or even alone? I am simply saying to look at what he or they did as one man. You insist on adding others to the equation as if none of these men did anything on their own. Yes, they had help but who made those men? Each man made himself with the help of others. Thats what smart men do, they work together for the better of us all.

thats a matter of opinion then because I feel personally he did a lot. I'll leave you to your own opinion on his value to us as a man. He was a humble servant to the cause of good and like any other worthy of sainthood he would never lay claim to his own accomplishments. That is left to the followers.

The assumption being that if there were opportunities, there wouldn't be any perps? I don't think that's necessarily true as changing the environment doesn't always change the individual. Some people have a "get rich quick" or "want it now" mentality; others seem predisposed to badness. The idea of working to achieve something, no matter how long it takes, is not a concept they embrace. It's not only in JA as some of our people come to NA with the same mindset - why work for $10/hour when they can make far more dealing (using that as an example)?

ETA the comment below from Bill Clarke, President of Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica:

"Unfortunately, we are not a working nation, but we love to make quick money. We need to invest in small businesses and create our own wealth."

but why den wud u have a discussion board if u always a go get total agreement...fi real....i have neva understood dis argument wen it is proferred...why would u be sooo put off by dissension r even rebuffal by cyber conversations...if u cant stan up wid u arguments in secrecy , how u dweet face to face a day time...if anyting, dis should refine u techniques fi di real ting...is not like discussions dung here revolve around whose boo a smaddy else boo too....but den mi juss iggle so mi guess dat is why mi still deh bout a tek an interest wen it interest me... I don't quite get what you are saying, but here is what I am saying. I certainly would not want anyone to agree with I, if it going to significantly depart from their principled position.
I certainly would not want anyone to agree with I just to be nice to me.

I am talking about that has actually taken place on the Board.
It is a fact that many persons have been driven off the Board aided and abetted by Moderators and Administrators.
Most of the hate has come from broaching subjects that attackers consider taboo or maybe they just had a bad day.
One recent attack on I, for instance left I dazed and perplexed to this day.

The point I was trying to make is if something took place in Jamaica and it was not to one's liking.
It reaches the Board and there was general agreement that the thing was bad, why not come together and try to deal with it?
This does not say in no way, shape or form, that each member must agree with every line, every sentence of the other member.

Some of the moves they have made so far strains credulity and they should be called on it before they go too far down certain roads.
Good Governance is dependent on eternal vigilance and the PNP would have provided better Governance if they had been challenged early and often.

Why im neva said that when the PNP Government was mashing up the Rock?
Him seh Jamaica was a failed State then recanted.
I am going to use a term that you and others will take issue with but I will not apologize for it.

Put it this way over time watching Bill Clak and other Media Whores, they say some thing to get on TV or a taak show then, they promote some instrument that they want sold.

I am not aware that the GOJ put him on any of the Boards, but I know he has recently developed some so-called micro-loan facility. I think the glorified cashier is trying to promote the same.

Any country where the Newspapers and Bankers hogging the news all the time must be filled with Jews or it is Jamaica. When the PNP lock dung 27 factories in Spanish Town and started selling Government Paper why didn't he come out and say that.

Lee Kuan Yew told us that in 1972, we should have listened from then
