that's funny you say that Milo because I had a touch screen phone LONG before the iPhone came out. And now I have a Blackberry.

I didnt intend to purchase a blackberry but since I had damaged my previous phone and would have to spend $600 to get another one I didnt bother.

I really liked my UtStarcom that was windows based and allowed me to do EVERYTHING on it like I can on my desktop. I could even edit and create excel spreadsheets on the phone whereas, at the time, this was unheardof on blackberrys and other phones.
However, when Ihad the chance to get a phone similari n features but without the samne business applications available, I specifically didnt want an iPhone because it is touch screen. For work it had its pain the [censored] aspects. So for functionalability I went with a blackberry and I wouldnt &quot;upgrade&quot; to a iPhone at all....at least not with how te iPhone is now. </div></div>

I just found it funny that the Blackberry is suppose to be the phone for &quot;business&quot; while the iPhone seems to marketed for &quot;fun&quot;. However, in a business meeting where people are crunching numbers and and time is a factor, I would say the iPhone would blow the Blackberry away in terms of how quickly the calculations would be arrived at.

well Mister, cause of what you are saying I am gonna look at the iPhone a bit closer when I am ready to renew my contract in the near future.

I still miss my UTStarCom though best phone ever for me. Could even iggle in the SB with it

Hey Skelly, I have had mine for just over a year. Not a lag, not a crash, not a freeze so far. I just make sure to download the updates when I get a message that one is available.

The problem some people have with the touch screen is that they press peoples phone numbers by mistake, this is possible on the iPhone if you have names stored on the &quot;favourites&quot; screen. i do admit that is one design flaw IMHO. However if you just keep your contacts on the contact screen you are good to go.

I don't want to make it sound like I don't like the Blackberry, I have never owned one or even used one. But from the little I have seen, nothing has persuaded me that someone who needs a smartphone for business is better off with a Blackberry over an iPhone, yet it is just assumed that if you are in business then a Blackberry is the phone to buy. I'm just questioning why.

what u mentioned above was what i found annoying with my touch screen. Nuff times I'd call ppl and not know it and they could hear whatever I was up to

Yes, I think I shocked a few people with what I had to say about them when I first got this gadget due to unintentionally made phone calls.

i need to get people who have AT&amp;T service into my house to see if it works in the house.. If not then it will just be an expensive piece of garbage (a term AT&amp;T is very familiar with)
