Sound like yuh havin memory conflict. Look si wha ah load under "msconfig"?

Also run CCleaner.

Just use program manager and attermt to remove it an it will give you the repair option.

updated to IE8 and the message is the same
aside from AppVer: 8.0.6001.18702

J-kid dis message was coming up with the other memory I had in there as well, this started last week bout wednesday.

well I am not de only one baffled wid dis.
mi tech fren cyaan figgah it out an de geeks at best buy seh &quot;I've never seen this before&quot; aan nuttin dem couldan duh fi fix it.

Of course dem waan mi fif leff it deh suh dem cyan tess it an chawge mi, suh mi seh mi wi come back.

I'm now thinking I have a bad sector on the HD

What did you do to the pc before the problem started. This sounds like the browser dlls have been compromised. Did you use CCcleaner? Or anything else like it? A bad sector on the HD can be found using the built in tools, but when done properly, it takes a few hours to a few days, depending on the pc.

Well, I didn't do anyting if mek it stawt do dat.
What I have done tto turn it into a dj laptop was swap out the original HD's (two a dem) they were 60 GB's each and I put in two 250GB's. I added the dj software called traktor scratch pro, I added album art downloader. I deleted some of the foolishness that came with the laptop such as:
aol online
acrobat 5.0
messenger

It worked quite well for a while a dj'd in ottawa, washington, toronto with this set up widout a single hiccup and now I got this error which keeps coming up.

Well it just crash tuh rahtid again.

I forgot fi seh dat mi bredren did do some diagnostic pan it and it did come back with an &quot;HDD FAIL&quot; on it but mi nuh kno is which one yet.

I have just switched back to the HD's that came wid de laptop and I haven't seen de problem. I'll put de others back in format an ting an si waah gwaan.

Well, a quick search shows that kr file could possibly be a virus. If you can't do f8 for a step by step load of windows, you might have to go safe mode. Next thing is the hard drive. Just because it was working doesn't mean that the system was compatible with that <span style="font-style: italic">size</span> of hard drive. I've had this discussion enough times with enough 'techs' to prove them wrong. Especially when I search on the version of bios installed and find out it was limited to x MBs of hard drive. You also cannot depend on custom setup, in my experience. Sure it works at first, but sooner or later you're going to run into problems unless you constantly run a utility that checks and rewrites the sectors. (something like Spinrite)

So where I would start?...That file you point out is a problem, even if it legit or not. F8 when you see 'Starting windows..' should allow you to boot files step by step. See if you can get that. If you can, answer N when you get to that line. If you can't get there, then we have to try something else.

Also post a screen capture of the startup tab in MSCONFIG (Start-&gt;Run-&gt;msconfig-&gt;startup.) That will help to see what is being run. There are files that are not listed in that list that can be a problem but we'll start there.

And yes, vacation was nice, although it was seriously cold! Was throwing snowballs at the nephews and nieces. How cold? Snowing for four days, temps yesterday at 14F and around 2F at night. Brrrr!

I've put the new drives back in and started everything over again and at this time the errors are not cropping up. Hope fully this will last.

so much for that, I was able to recreate the error but mi done wid it fi tuhdeh.

There is a different error now but I'm sure it's related or maybe as you say this laptop can't handle the big drives.

Did you check the file type??
if the file type in formatting is for smaller drives?
In formatting some file type cannot handle larger drives.

no an mi nuh kno wah yuh mean by file type.

But here is what I just did.
In light of dis ting not being able to handle dis size of a drive I took out HDD1 since it is where the OS is and put the original 60GB back in. I left HDD2 in with the 250GB to see what happens.
