yes...the other person needs to have a computer and download skype as well. oh yeah...both computers need to have a camera.

Hi Sis!

Ok, if you have a computah, and I have a computah we can talk on skype for free. All the computers need is a mic. If you have cameras on your computer you can also see the other person as well as hear them... again all for free.

If you have skype on your computer you can also call a land line. To do this you need to buy skype credit (easy to do). The cost of doing this is very cheap. I talk with my brother for less than 2 cents per minute (much cheaper than regular long distance charges).

I also have skype loaded on my iPhone and it works wonderfully. When I first started using skype there was some occasional issues with quality and the ability to log on during certain times of the day. Those problems seem to have been dealt with and now I find it to work just as well as using a regular phone.

Thanks milo.....u gi it to me in a nutshell.....thanks bandy....now i get it......i have touch mobile....but not the iphone....so i am thinking my phone would work......and calling lan line for cheap would be great....so one more question.....if i dload skype on my touch phone.....i can just set up the land line i want to call....right???? This not yet available for cell right....or if so....skype would charge me more for cell....nuh so???

Yuh don't hav tuh hav ah camera. Yuh can duh voive only just fine.

All yuh setup is done through Skype online, not through yuh cell phone service.

Well, fi call computer tuh computer. Yuh partner haffi hav skype running in di background, and is expecting yuh call, or if dem deh happen tuh bi pan dem computer an yuh calling, dem wi hear it an answer di call.

1)n Yuh haffi select dem name (Skype ID) from the contact tab dat yuh previously entered in yuh contact list.

2) Click pan di green button wid di phone symbole pan ie.

Yu wi hear di phone ringing if yuh speakers are on, which yuh must hav on fi also hear di other side talking.

Yuh PC mike must also bi activated, for dem tuh hear yuh talking.

It works kind of like yahoo or msn instant messenger, so you can see from your list of friends which ones are currently on-line...

If you want to talk to someone at a specific time then yes, they would have to be aware, so that they can make themselves available


The only thing I have bad to say about skype is that if the internet connection is slow sometimes the call will drop, or the picture and sound will be severely distorted I hate it when that happens
