From what I am seeing these &quot;smart phones&quot; all about APPS ..come in like the basic function of making calls and receiving calls was an after thought And di phone dem fulla testosterone ... if yuh know what a mean.

But weh fi do? Is outta necessity mek mi goh get wan .. arelse mi woulda deh right ina di lickle carna a di store a pick out aneda dumb phone. </div></div>If you have real emergency there is an emergency button all you have to fo is to press it. The call will go through even if the phone is locked

I am sure over time, they will find better ways for these things to be intuitive. Right now dem is lacking in dat department

A come me coming in here for more advice from the experts.

I must've turned on Voice Talk and now every blasted call the voice a bawl out who and who a call me. A bit frustrating and I am trying to get it to stop but it keeps coming back on its own. I go into Application / Running Applications but it's not shown as a running app. I turned the phone off/on but that does not stop it. I must be missing something...

Wendy, likkle by likkle you will stawt come out of the dark ages with your new phone.

Go to &gt; settings &gt; call &gt; call alert &gt; Uncheck &quot;alerts on call,&quot;

OR

Settings &gt; Call Settings &gt; All Calls &gt; Alerts on call &gt; OFF

OR

Settings &gt; Accessability &gt;Turn off

OR

Settings &gt; voice input and output &gt; text-to-speech settings &gt; uncheck driving mode

You can take screenshot, by holding power and volume down buttons simultaneously.

Sandi, it sounds to me like the last fix mentioned here by J kid would be the answer to the issue you describe.

Di dark ages was easier fi deal wid

Last night mi realize seh di original Contact weh Verizon xfer from mi old phone gaan like Sammy mout. What is in di contact list is di whole a di Facebook people dem .. 90% a dem mi nat even know but yet still dem pictra an phone numba inna mi contact liss an di original list gaan. Faada hear my cry.. sweet Jesas reedem mi.

Mi off tomorrow on other personal business but I have added on my to do list a mission to walk into the store and have somebody sit and walk me through his phone. I am losing patience with it.

The Vlingo Voice Command is a major pain in the behind A whole heap a people out there complaining about the voice command app..

I finally got rid of this and this is what works...
