Most companies do not buy systems with new OS because of compatibility issues, especially with proprietary and older applications. Downtime is a luxury they cannot afford, so it makes sense to stay the course with the OS that's been tried, tested, tweaked, and proven true. As the saying goes, the devil you know is a whole lot better than the devil you don't know.
