I bought a 4 camera setup from them. What a POS! When it worked, it was ok, but it didn't work more than it worked. I don't think it worked for more than two hours straight. There were issues with the drivers for the camera. From their support forum, I wasn't the only one having problems. I returned it after working on it daily for two weeks.

I am using some of the sensors for lights, but every once in a while I'll come home and find lights on, when they should not be. Occasionally I have to pull the battery to reset the sensor too. Still if you realize you paid only $10 for the sensor and $20 for the switch, it is not too bad. Nice to come home and the lights turn on automatically.

Tried it on 4 different computers. Xp Home, Xp Pro, Win2k, Win98SE and I was using the proper x10 driver for each operating system. The Xp Home was the one it worked the longest on. I tried using compatibility mode and various other fixes I know. (been involved in computers a long long time, since 300baud was fast and compuserve was the ISP.) The system was simply a POS. Granted, when it worked, it was pretty neat to see some of the pictures. It was neat being able to login to the pc from the office. (That lasted three days before the stupid x10 server screwed up.) Again not only me having difficulty. It just wasn't stable enough for me. That was a year or two ago, and a recent check of their forums show it has not gotten any better. I'll boot up the old pc and see if I still have any of the screen captures it did.

Found them. Now I remember more reasons I got rid of it. These three shots are screen caps from the folder. It was when I was setting it up at my back door. In pic 2000, you can see the interferance I got occasionally. The camera unit was 6 feet away from the receiver if that much with a glass door between them. The shots are the actual size as captured, except for the cropped pic. In that one you can see the resolution on the dog and for a human, it isn't much better.

The shots kinda blurry. Were they taken through a glass window or something, or is that the camera quality?

Only the last one with the dog was looking through a screen. The other two were the actual files from the capture without anything else in between. The files are not very big. (About 75k.) It's the capture software that makes it look so blury. Via the internet it wasn't any better because those same images were sent via the network.

The four cameras with a few sensors and the four motors were about 200+ shipping. Oh, I just remembered, another thing was the mover to move the cameras. That thing was so slow, while it was neat to be able to move, it took so long to move 180 degrees, it would have been faster to get up and go look in person! I did download a hack to the motor that would make go faster, but I gave up before getting out the screwdriver.
