So Bell sent me the code to unlock my phone.

But in the next breath they say that my Smartphone doesnt support SIM technology? What that mean? If it doesnt have a SIM card what does it use?

And if there is no SIM technology in the phone then what does the code they have given me unlock?

no it doesnt, the world edition is mostly for europe and asia countries that uses diff bandwith,

for Ja, u only need an unlocked phone that uses sims cards,

btw, the world edition u speak of is Verizon??? that wont work in Ja, because it doesnt use a sim card!

your sim card in Ja will also expire if you dont keep it active,

meaning the next time u go to Ja, dat sim card no good again, it would have expired~~

none a mi biz ..but dis look like torcha!! if yu will be in jamaica fi more dan one week , moving around and have fambily down dere ..here is some options..
1..buy a digi phone ..it costs maybe 40 dolla. and lef it wid a family memba or take it bak wid yu if yu go to Jamaica once a yr
2. borrow a phone from one of ur relatives ..most of them have more dan one cell phone , put minutes pon it as yu need den give it bak
3..rent a cell fone fi bout 10Us a week..

u can only get a sim card at the phone stores, Digi, C&amp;W, Claro, dem give u de sim card, feget how much, but no much, and u push it in the unlocked phone, and u good to go~~

you can go to www.ezetop.com and top up your phone - the web site will also tell you if your SIM card is still valid - i put $5.00 on my jamaica phone each month to keep the number active

i have an unlocked cell phone - i bought it unlocked off the internet

if you get a triband or a quad band you should be good to go

I decided on option 1 a few minutes back cause this is causing premature greying I ownt be with my family for the frist part of the trip, so I'll just buy a cheap phone there and leave it for the next time I go.

Trust me, nuff ppl have told me to quite the planning every detail business and lord knows I am trying (hence why I need a vacation) but I am fighting against mother nature here
