Re: Port Antonio or Runaway Bay
Fern Hill is nice....stunning views...average food in the restaurant.
Beach is just down over the hill....the very steep hill. Walk down....RIDE up.
i say that...but....i've walked up the hill Bonnie View was on...more than once....and it didn't kill me.

On Sat. night Leroys bar on the beach has a live local reggae band playing and is lots of fun....not a "club" atmosphere, more like a "dancing in the sand" atmosphere (very local) </div></div>
Hi there JaJewel, thank you so much for stopping by and extending such a nice welcome to your place. I can tell it's very, very nice. Oh and I like the Friday night open bar...ooops I mean bar open
and Leroys place sounds like the place I wanna be on those last nights in Jamaica. Presently I will be leaving on a Tuesday so the weekend there is a possibility. I will link you via PM.

just what do you do over there

nuff restaurants...all over. i love the little place at Winnefred Beach...awesome food, and plentiful.
you can get food at Frenchmans as well.
plenty places right intown Porty proper too.
tons to do....go rafting on the rio grande...i loved that. there's a place on the bend of the river that will feed you too.
you can go to Somerset Falls, Reach Falls, Long Bay, where the waves are huge and the beach is just about vacant. you can go to Boston Bay for some jerk...and surf if you're into that. Go visit Culture for some local flavah.

Seveen, don't be such a Negril pansy. Porty is fabulous...stunning scenery, lush lush greenery. a variety of beaches...one for each day. Hang out downtown...go to the market. Only thing that keeps me from going there more is the distance.

and that's near Ja Jewel...NOT porty.
now if i were to stay at Ja jewels...i'd combine that with a trip to Cranbrook....a ride into the hills of St Ann...and a trip to Nine Mile.

Don't forget "rafting on the Martha Brae" and the "Luminous Lagoon", both just down the road from us!
