It's not yard shower warm yet but today I ran around with a flannel shirt over a Tshirt! First time in many months! Well ok I wouldn't be out there long but it was Ok for I and out. It reached almost 40!

OK I am getting EXCITED for the weekend! Ya gotta see this...

My Betty is doing very well, she has had all her staples removed and she can now move a little better because of this.
Her spirits are high and she wants me to thank you all for the concern you've all shown her.
She has a nurse coming in three times a week to change her dressings and a physo lady helping her also , so things are now moving forward.
The pain is Much improved and she also is able to roll over in bed so sleeping is getting better also, for both of us...lol.
We are hoping to make that boardie bash at the Bar-A-Buv on April 24 and we want to meet many of you.

Nooks, great vid! ...reminds me of "Skully" ....my Jamaican guardian for 5 days in Roaring River. Awwwwwwwww. I miss her!

as for the bucket list, QK....uh, I wanna do this rally called "TargaNewfoundland", then do Matsupichu, then get a pilot's licence, then.....(hope LB can support me, heh, heh. )

After coming in 13th place in the Yukon Quest and winning $3k, newton was presented with the coveted ‘Challenge of the North Award’ for best exemplifying the spirit of the Yukon Quest.

The winner is chosen by the race marshal and judges; on making the presentation to Newton the marshal said:-
“I’ll be the first to admit when I saw his entry I didn’t think it was much more than a publicity stunt,” race marshal Doug Grilliot said.

We felt so proud; imagine a Jamaican musher being awarded for “exemplifying the spirit of the Yukon Quest”. Newton is a true ambassador for Jamaica.
The trophy is a beautiful ink drawing of ravens on a caribou antler.

Newton is in Anchorage to witness the start of the Iditarod; who knows where he will be racing next winter
He returns home to Jamaica on March 11th.

It's a great blog check it out! I had my nose in it till the wee hours last night!

Betty's Thursday AM Update:
Well I now have a promotion , I'm Nurse Stan now.
I just changed her dressings and managed to keep things sterile , lol.
She is ready for the day and feeling upbeat and happy.
She just read All the posts and was very touched by all your kind comments.
Our goal will continue to be getting to the boardie bash in April with a healthy Betty in tow.
