morning ~ Westmoreland finally got a nice rain yesterday, that was a perfect Easter blessing. It's been so dry it looks like desert. I went to visit a friend who is 87 born and grew here in Negril and she said never in her lifetime has she seen Negril this dry. So let the rain continue.
It was a busy weekend the streets were full of cars at times I thought I was in Town, traffic that we're not used to.
All in all tings gwaan alright here.

This place still amazes me how Jamaicans can take advantage of other people. There is a nice young lady living in the neighborhood who has 3 children and a lazy arse baby fadda. She worked at the building site next door for 2 days carrying buckets of cement. Dang hard work for anyone. After the 2 days they paid her $300 JA for the 2 days. Yep $150 JA per day. She was ready to cry when she told me because she needed some medicine for her son and it was $2000 JA. I gave it to her and then I really thought she was going to cry.
Hey Schultz, thanks for noticing I was gone for awhile. Just relaxing and having a good time with Ted. Been kind of domestic making cakes, baked chicken with dressing, and then hinting to him to have calalloo, cabbage and other veggies for breakfast. It was yummy.Comment

I miss when you don't post but figure you are busy living life and not to the internet cafe. Now, when you come back to the states and don't post is when mi get worry.

Well I had an interesting commission that I finished today. I was at a doctor office a couple of weeks ago and one doctor must have liked the necklace I was wearing. He gave me some cash for me to make a necklace for his wife. It was a challenge to say the least as I have never seen the lady and know nothing about her. I asked what color she likes and was told light green. Taking what necklace I was wearing into consideration, I made a fun necklace for the doctor's wife and will deliver it tomorrow. I sure hope she loves it!
I made two beaded spirals for it and have one of my hands on ice at the moment. It is groom Paris night and change her hair bands!

JMISS!!! Good to see you. I know you must be enjoying your time that you have left. Must be hard to leave after all those months. 
Nan, picture? I know what you mean about the hands, though I don't do as detailed work as you do, my hands ache after a long day holding tight to beads & tools.
Well, we went to a meeting at work yesterday and the "L" word did come up.
Lay-Offs. By July. I have a feeling that being one of the least trained employees in my department, I will be among the first to be let go. The thought of a few months off collecting unemployment for the summer is nice. The thought of finding a new job (#10 since 2000) at my age makes me wanna
So my mind is running along the lines of going to school again. Doing what? I have no clue. Do they have courses for Heiress or Lottery Winner? A tyad mi tyad man.
For now, I have job that I still have to go to. Have a great day mi frens!!
