Yes I have been murdering my hands beading and raking the yard and of course the dog kennels. I suppose I have to hurry up since we might have a freekin snowstorm coming this weekend! Of course this is cause Val was planning to come. I'll blame her.

Here is the necklace I made for the doctor wife. I only know she likes green so I mixed green with Lake Superior Agates and a coupla spirals...



The spiral beaded beads are nice but they are hand killers



I'll be so happy to drop off the piece today, I hope she likes it!

Now we're getting down to the better people. I sure don't know what happened to Ty but he is bound to be next. At first he was doing so good, I've never seen a cowboy move like that. Now he moves like most of the cowboys I've known. They don't seem flexible.

(((QK))) I feel your pain. It sucks at my age looking for a job, most are entry level jobs, low pay and I am sooooo over qualified. Something will have to give soon!

The job market is looking quite dismal in the ATL. Verizon is opening up a new call center here sometime in May. The end result will be that they will hire appx 600 people.

The call center is too far for me to drive with the pay that I am sure they will be offering. I will still check it out because you never know.

On a positive note, we went to Grandson little league game last night. The age group is 6-8 year olds mostly first time players.

Anyone going to these games know you will have some kodak moments at each and every game. Last night one of our players was running to third base, it was runners on first and second also and the player on the opposing team was getting a little frustrated.

He caught the ball btwn 2nd and 3rd base, the easy out was at 3rd. He at first started to run to 3rd to beat the runner and tag him out, when he realized the runner was much quicker them him he threw the baseball at him to tag him out!

Talk about the entire crowd first yelling nooooo, then when we realize that the runner was not hurt, the amount of laughter even from the players. Wish I had a video cam to record that, it was <span style="font-weight: bold">Priceless</span>!

Laurel, so sorry about your migraine. I used to suffer with them and all of a sudden they went away. Thank the Lord. So I very much sympathize with you.

It feels like rain here. Sure hope so. Ted was out in the garden this mawnin' babying all the plants. The papaya trees are getting very thick and he says they are bearing fruit. Hope they stay on the tree this time. Yesterday he brought up 2 okra from his plants, grinning. They sure tasted good in his soup.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. I am thinking the worst though.
If I was a few years older I might consider early retirement and a part time gig somewhere. But then there's health insurance...

Healthcare reform is a bitckh!! We get penalized in the state of MA if we don't caryy insurance. If I can't afford the insurance what makes you think I can afford the PENALTIES?!?!

Anyway, it will all work out in the end.

JMiss, I knwo that feeling of finding your carefully tended little babies in teh garden. It always made me laugh to see those cute likkle baby cukes &amp; squash &amp; tomatoes.

NDG, the only thing I am truly overqualified for is micro electronic screen printing. But it's more &amp; more automated &amp; outsourced and I HATE it to boot. But DAMN I am good at it.
I have heard that Verizon pays well in the call center, relatively speaking... but not for people who do directory assistance and such.

Good luck mi fren. How long you been out now? Do you qualify for training?

Hidey ho everybody! Good evelin. Well QK if the worst case scenario happens you just never know what is behind door number 3. It could be something even better. I still pray it doesn't happen at all though!

We're sposed to get snow for the weekend It still feels freezing cold out even though it's 56 degrees cause of the blastid winds coming off the lake. In my old neighborhood just 40 miles away it was 72.

I was taking Paris to the lakewalk today for a stroll but it was so cold we didn't get out of the car! it's just as well, I was feeling guilty for leaving Rosebud home.

Laurel I hope your head is mended.

Evenin Nanook!!

I always try to look at it as a new beginning, but I am so tired of new beginnings. If I get laid off, the next job will be #10 in 9 years. I've been the new hire in 9 different companies. Just when I start to get confident and look forward to maybe a RAISE? The other shoe drops.
I'm over the new beginnings in my work life. If I get laid off I'm thinking about what I'd like to train for... medical billing/coding seems like the way to go. I'm fairly familiar with the insurance side and know the basics of CPT &amp; ICD9 codes and modifiers and such. I'm just getting so close to retirement age...

Now a new beginning in my LOVE life would be a different story!!
