of course - I should hope that no one thinks you adults were not watching !!!

when a tiny child is playing in the beach - they are gonna swallow sand .... they are gonna lick their hand ... sand gets kicked up passing by walking / sand gets blown up by the wind ... 'it happens' ...

that combined with the intense heat ... it is easy to get dehydrated ..

(dang) ... I used to be able to prove my xxx 'wrong' all the time ... once again - I have to say ... 'maybe - just maybe' Bim was right ... but - my first thought was - "how could he possibly know - he was not there ... did not even see them" !!! but - he does know how hot it has been - and has given nuff plenty of adivce on raising up others babies!! (cuz that is what he does!!! }

Dont fret the sand business. That is what kids do all the while and it isnt anyone's fault. You can hover and fret over their every move but sometimes those little critters are so fast with them actions that you cant catch every move them make It is unfortunate she got so sick but she is getting better now and that is all that counts.

She seems like such a little trooper.

I am just now seeing this ...thank God Ryan is back home and seems as if she will be okay...what an ordeal.

Thank you Heavenly Father for protecting Lil Ryan and placing the right people in her path to bring her home safely and to provide the necessary medical care...Amen.

YAY! glad to know she's doing well and it wasn't a parasite or anything like that, dehydration is serious, but VERY easily to remedy. God thank you for keeping this little one safe.

Good Day everyone. Thank you so much for your continued prayers and kind words.

Ryan is doing much better but she is still weak and sleeping a lot, and the diarrhea continues. But the voimitting ceased and her spirits are high. We were able to get a stool specimen this morning which the hospital wants to positively rule out parasites, however because there was no visible blood in the stool, they knew that is was not Densentry as previously diagnosed.

As Marilyn stated, Candice is off until late August and will be able to give Ryan the intimate care she needs to nurse her back to health.

I cannot say enough kind words about the care that was shown to Candice by all Jamaicans she encountered that night. From the cab driver that initially agreed to take her to the Luce Hospital, to the cab driver that LeeAnn hired to pick her up from the hospital, take them to the pharmacy, and then back to the hotel and wait while she packed, and then on to the hospital. Candice said this driver was an expert and got them to the airport in record time. Of course, the Jamaican by way of long term residence LeeAnn was the jewel of the night. Although this small hospital did not have all the shiny new machines they have in American to diagnose every illness, they gave Candice the best care that they could, and in the end, that is all that is required of each of us (to do our best).

Candice lived in Korea when she discovered she was pregnant and the care that she received at that hospital was far worse than the care in Jamaica and we now know that that ordeal prepared her for this ordeal.

Again, thanks for all the support from my Ja.com family. I could not have gotten through these past two days as easily without your support and allowing me to vent via this board.

P.S. Ryan loved Jamaica and that is what I will always remember from this trip. The illness is secondary to her love for Jamaica and as we Ja.commers like to say; &quot;Another one bites the Jamaica bug&quot;

Oh my….I'm so glad to hear it wasn't a parasite. Precious BabyDumplin would have been sick for a long time. Wonderful to know she is gradually bouncing back to her joyful self. (((Angie, Ryan,Candice)))
