Yep, I'm up early guzzling coffee and the kiln is hotting up so I can play with fire. There is no time for sleep, there's waaay too much to do for that inaction. I have work to do and fun to have...

Schultz, you may as well update the car. I'm here to tell you that it's a wonderful thing. I don't love the payments and added insurance but it's wonderful not having to worry about repairs and things.

Well, they say the walls will be up on the new house by 7. Now would be an opportune time to head over there but I really need to play with some fire instead. They say they'll be moving furniture on on Sunday! The big reveal is on Monday, so maybe I'll go for that.

We got our health insurance papers to fill out yesterday
mixed emotions coming up now about all the work I need done

(((Shultz))) Happy car hunting or have you already decided? I hope my turn does not come up soon. My car is 11 years old, beat up, however, it runs like a champion! I would love to be able to pay cash for a new car, hate hate car payments. Buying used cars I always get the lemon on the lot. I keep looking at the $4500 rebate the government is having, my car would definitely meet the old clunker criteria in looks.

I am having some medical issues right now, so I decided to wait for my insurance to kick in before going to the Doctor. My 90 day period was May 4th, and I was wondering why they have not had me to complete the insurance paperwork. Talk to the head of HR on Tuesday and he said that it will not start until Sept 1st or we will complete the paperwork then. Ugggggghhhh! I hate going to the Doc however, I am reaching the age where I need a complete physical and I am tired of trying to self diagnose.

My problem started about a week before my Mom died and I was trying to relate it to stress but I need to get to the Doctor because it keeps re-occuring.

Mr keep telling me I need a washout, drink some bitters, drink cerasse tea for 1 week straight every morning. I know he is trying to help and he is worried for me but I just want to see a doctor, home remedies are not solving this problem!

Okay now that I have complained, whined and vented!

oh Schultzie ... I LUV me some Mini Cooper!! and I have always wanted a convertible - so I am digging this ~

I totally agree ... when you are thinking a last car for retirement time ... get the one you really want! seems as if for so many car driving years some of us just deal with whatever ... cheapest / lemons / yada yada ... I sure hope to be able to just 'go for it' when that time comes for me.

Natty, get yourself to the doctor lady! Your health is important. Don't let it wait too long...you know how your body feels.

I'm so torn about the car ting! My car is old but runs good still..gonna think about it over the weekend. Mi dad works for Ford...can get family discount from them and a lot cheaper than the Mini....but me want the mini but need to do what is more practical....I have a champaigne appetite on a beer budget. lol.

Jesus Mary n Joseph ... I got my social security update the other day. I was 'hoping' to get to finish work around 63 ... but - I look at the difference in monthly payments ... I think I should have to push it out to 67 - full retirement age ~

Bim is thinking by the time I am 60 .... that aint gonna be happening ~

Laurel, I like the small cars. Dad has a Focus and it is ok, drives good, and rides ok. I don't do any interstate driving....just bop around town. My old clunker car -- does not qualify for the clunker program....misses the mileage by 3 mpg....that really sucks. I might just hold onto my clunker another few years....its not worth much for trade-in anyhow.
