Marnin Laurel! I'm making creme brulee pancakes with cinnamon and nutmeg, topped with honey. Now I KNOW they woulda loved that in yard. I would have had to smuggle the creme brulee for my coffee too. That could have gotten messy but I would have done it!

just here enjoying my BM with some Baileys and yea I know is only 8:00am but it is so goooood with my coffee.

Anyway just watching the fires out here with so many peeps having to evacuate their homes and praying it does not come close to me.

We went away for the weekend and had to take a different route to bypass the fires and get home. So many peeps with cars, SUV loaded up having to vacate their homes

Anyway have a good day gone back go watch the news, wait and pray.

Morning (almost afternoon) everyone. I was just reading today's greetings here and I thought, wouldn't it be nice if we were actually dropping in on some cafe in Negril/Treasure Beach/Discovery Bay to say good morning in person on our way to cut the lawn/make jewelry/paint/insert occupation or non-occupation?

But this board will do in place of that for now

Good afternooon Stormmey and StAnnMuse! I love your idea of gathering for mornign coffee St.Ann! I'd even make us some of those pancakes I whipped up this morning. They were thin and tasty and wonderful! Gave me just the fuel I needed to go out and mow. hi ho hi ho off to mowing I go!

Then I'm gonna play with fire. My awesome torch came home today finally, after exactly a month hiatus. I was so happy to see it you wouldn't believe and the guys at air gas were laughing at me so hard over my torch excitement. But then I took them to the torch website and they couldn't believe what they were looking at 5,000.00 torches either! ah yes...the fire culture.

Thin tasty pancakes are my favorite!! I'll pencil that in....2011... Negril (or is it Treasure Beach?), pancakes at Nanook's.

Anywhere but Negril St.AnnMuse! I won't be going back to that side of the island in my future trips. I wouldn't discount Treasure Beach/Alligator Pond/Milk River on the south coast...or anywhere on the north coast though! I've been planning a little jaunt for not too far in the future. Not this year, but early in the next. I must show a special someone <span style="font-style: italic">&quot;my&quot;</span> Jamaica. I did promise <span style="font-weight: bold">NO</span> touristy stuff! Hopefully I'll have my business going strong by then and I can breathe a sigh of relief and go forth and celebrate!

Hell, I bet I can find a place to cook a kick butt Mexican meal while I'm at it and carry my awesome cooking skills to the north side of the island. I'm the original inventor of the Mexican egg roll back around 1975 and my father in law, who was a renowned chef...called them ingenious.





To do this right I would undoubtedly have to get involved in serious food smuggling, but no problem! It's worth it.

StAnnMuse, do you remember G2's Morning Ride? Lawd that was fun. I used to get up earlier than necessary just to have my coffee with the morning ride crew instead of drinking it on the fly...

Nan, could you talk to Ty and tell him I need a house built in Jamaica so I can retire?

Evelin QK and all...yes! welcome home to my beautiful wonderful torch! I'm sittin here as I speak, taking a quick peek in between beads. It's much more fun than I had last night when I was so lonesome for it I sat and watched about a dozen youtube glasslowing video's! Excitement noh!

Yard is mowed, dog pools are fresh and clean and I'm well on my way to the great blues weekend! This is the 21st annual, and that's where I've been every year since year one. I missed a Sunday back around 1999 when I had to go to Finland and Sweden for work, and I missed a Saturday one year when my family's farm had a 100 year century farm celebration. Otherwise I've been there with bells on every single day...and all of it's been good. Thank God it's been cut back to three days this year! I am no way ready to do a 4 day festival at this point. 3 is plenty!



Ok, it's calling me...I must go to it. It beckons..
