Time for the vets in Ja to get together I would say...and do some spay and neutering for those that can't afford it.....overpopulation has to be something they know and care about.....well maybe know about

Nope.... me too......I just made up a batch of jerk seasoning the other day....with home grown scotch bonnets add the jerk seasoning, some minced garlic to the ground meat and let it marinate overnight. mmmmmmmmm HUGE differece in the taste ......

Good morning good people,

I had a great time last night, went to the square in town where there was a free street show, with the contestants from Digicel Rising Star, hundreds of people singing and dancing and of coarse cheering on our local contestant, Princess Tia. I chatted briefly with Ja Miss's Ted, that was nice.

I just got off the phone with Dr. Foote's office in Sav, the local vet, he is charging $6,000 J for female cats, my mistake, it's not $7,000. When I asked for the price of two she replied, Mam I just told you $6,000 each, and I was thinking maybe I'd get a wholesale price for more then one... But we're ok here, a cat's life is a cat's life in Jamaica, we always seem to work it out.

With that said, it has always been my dream to set up a nonprofit here in Jamaica, to assist with these costs and most importantly, share some information with people who want to know more, on better ways to care for their yard animals. Pets, I'm speaking of.

Anyway, enjoy your day, I have loads to get done here today and at the same time trying to keep cool.

jajewel, maybe because rex is a jamaican and i was not in the yard, the price was 5500j. perhaps if i was around it would be more?

that's the second set of dogs i've fixed in that area for the same price.

Brrrrrr.... North wind blowin into my bedroom window this mawnin!! I got up and changed into a flannel nightgown!

It's supposed to reach 68 today, so I doubt I'll be swimming. But I have a 5 pound bucket of potato salad ready to go. Italian sausage for the grill and a bottle of appleton. That oughtta warm me up some.

We're also having steak tips, grilled lobster tails and pasta salad as well as various horse's ovaries &amp; such.

Today is my baby brother's birthday (10 yrs younger than me, barely out of his teens) and my cousin's wife's as well. Should be a good time.

(((QK))) Sounds like a good celebration for the last holiday of summer!

Last week we were mostly in the low 80's, yesterday at the football game the sun came out. Georgia sun so hot feels like needles are piercing your skin. I did have my umbrella with me so that helped a little.

Think I will go to the early morning service at church this morning.

No work tomorrow!
