HOWDY PEEPS!!
Was out of town all weekend for another scattering at sea. 2 of the best gatherings I've been to this year have been to scatter the ashes of one who passed away.
This one was my friend's mom. An amazing woman. A very special gathering of friends and family. Lawd I was feelin the loooove!!
2 perfect weather days on Cape Cod. Even out on the boat was picture perfect.
We launched a little paper mache replica of her boat with some of her ashes in it. There was a small fishing boat nearby and as the rest of her ashes we scattered in the sea, the guys on the smaller boat caught a beautiful striped bass, a keeper about 28-30 inches? +/-
She would have loved that!
Anyway, I got home last night & the phone & internet were dead.
Didn't get fixed til 5 this evening!! 
But as you can see I am back in bizzness!!

So...did your crops wither and die? I lost a crop over Labor day!

Luckily I planned ahead and planted a 3 day crop.

Well, I got the video of the "launch" uploaded. This little boat was made of papier mache & spaghetti. Her oldest grandson (my age... 30 something) cooked spaghetti, molded it into the shapes he need for the steering wheel & rails, pinned it to styrofoam & painted it when it dried. He added a rather large keel and dang didn't that little boat float off like the real thing.

today is fall but our temperatures are in the high 80's - what a relief from the 100's of the summer - but it feels like it's getting cold to meComment

in the 80's??? I was just thinking about you this morning as I was walking out to the highway for my bus. It was dark and a bit chilly .... I wondered HOW you might have survived if you had taken a chance with the job here ...
