wow - Marilyn - that sucks!! I sometimes hate all the technology hype up junk ...

have fun all those traveling some place soon ... me - I travel with PBS at night these days; been taggin along with Ken Burns thru all the National Parks ~

I have decided I can not wait for someone to take one of these Park Adventure trips with me ... I am gonna haffi bust out on my own and just do it ~ another thing for "one day" ..

good night nurse ... NO - I am not much for camping.

I mean getting to the destinations and then getting a car to explore some of the National Parks ... I did Yellowstone when I was about 15/16 with my parents and grandparents ... but - a road trip with my dad .... YIKES ... seriously one for doing DRIVE BY's opposed to stopping to have a look and see.

for YEARS I have been wanting to get into the Rocky Mountains, and Zion National Park ...

we did a quickie drive by near Sedona the one time I visited my dad while he winters in Arizona ... I want to do some off the main path exploring!!

i stumbled upon episode four last night....and LOVED it! Makes me want to hop into an RV and strike out for park after park.

was interesting to me, that some of the issues we struggle with today in the parks, they struggled similarly in the beginnings. cars or not cars...too many people...development.

i love the vignettes about the couples who would adventure from park to park...really cool photos.

You can do it all on a road trip. Half the fun is getting there! Stay off all interstates and travel backroads getting to the parks. Sleep in motels at night and sight see during the day. Me and Val wandered around doing this for 3 weeks one spring, it was a blast!

right - I was hoping somebody else had found this series and was enjoying it along with me.

I too love the stories from the diaries of the "Park Collectors" ~

I bet I would enjoy that book ...
