Feeling you on this ROOTS! I did look at this property last week TSmall and I LOVE it but I would want some company The place looks like a baggy dropping spot and without company, well that would just be frustrating

Before I go any further big up to all of you in this thread with the great information you have provided and the opinions you have offered This helps me sort out what I think will meet my needs.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Hide Awhile</span> has gotten mixed reviews b/c of the pool renovations This was actually the very first place I checked out because I remember someone or multiple someones doing trip reports on the property.

But I have to say <span style="font-weight: bold">Tinglaya</span> is winning me over this morning That is a really pretty and eceletic looking property - and it is cheap

Are the restaurants listed that are near the property actually near the property? Like walking distance or would it be best to arrange transport?

Like I mentioned earlier, I dont want to rent a car until I am ready to leave Treasure Beach, so while in Negril I'd like to keep my effort to forage for food to a minimum Yes, the goal is to be lazy as possible

Tanio Cove is home away from home for a very close friend of mine from Mo Bay. She stays out there often and loves it. I think that's a wonderful choice.

Boy oh boy, the man who has taken care of this property, Tingalaya for the last 10+ years is my BEST friend and he cooks there if you want him to. But I live just a stones throw from there and I can easily arrange for a driver for you or my friend will do that for you. Not a problem, but he is a good cook, very good, tho he comes to my house for dinner at well. Sooo many options on the food thing.

Hide Awhile is almost done with the pool, fresh water pool, they are 2 chains from my place, so I know that to be a fact. I can check on it for you if you want, but I am certain it will be within the next couple of week, how do I know, I'm invited to take a night swim there. But I think those pictures on the site don't do the place justice, it is a nice property and the rooms are very nice.

Something to think about, the sea can be rough here on this end, Hide Awhile has a fresh water pool, Tingalaya has a sea pool. BUT the beach is less then 15 minutes away.

This is excellent to know TSmall Thank you! It is so hard to sort thru other ppl's reviews on other websites because u dont always know what is motivating their criticism.

Okay I have made my short-list to:

1. Hideawhile
2. Tingalaya
3. Moondance Villas</span>

Tingalaya is winning me over at the moment but I want to think for a day before making reservations. T, I will contact you once my plans are secured. That would be fantastic if I could work out driving arrangements with you while I am there. Plus get a chance to visit as well!

No other place has garnered my interest in TB like Taino Cove, so with both your recommendations, that is where I am going to stay in Treasure Beach

Nylah....i've stayed at Idle several times...the place is tres chic...love the verandahs there....nice section of the beach. you can't go wrong.

i've never stayed at BBB, but given the pics i've seen of the rooms....there is no comparison.

if you're interested in the cliffs....Catcha Falling Star is very nice...and not quite so far out there.

Like I mentioned before, if you want to see more pictures of any of these properties, just let me know.

Driving you around, girl I have a very old car, gets me where I want to go, but no frills in that baby. Transportation is a no brainer, so don't fret about that, not for a moment, we will make certain your in safe hands one way of another.

And as far as safety goes, I do want to mention that both of the smaller properties have had no problems at all, both are guarded by men and dogs. The larger property, Moondance has Guardsman security.

loops, I think it was you that included Idle in a trip report sometime back? I know someone around here did b/c it was the first property I thought of when I started planning for Negril. I do love how it looks as well. I just need to decide what level of "quietness" I want when it comes to the area

I'm gonna think on it for a minute and decide because I have some really good recommendations to choose from.

I dont recall seeing Lyrics in TB but I will take a look. Thanks.
