Re: A black cast iron skillet
I don't know what kind a breakfast comes out better than one out of a iron skillet on a wood fire...
one of my favorite memories of my grandma is when her and my grandpa would take us camping up in the mountains. since I was oldest I got to sleep in the army tent while everyone else got to sleep in the camper, and what would pull me out from under my sleeping bag was the smells and sounds of hand cut bacon from the german deli and frying eggs.
my god that took me back and I can still smell it now if I close my eyes.
missing my grandpa something fierce right now. one of my jobs was to take the meal scraps out of the camp so bears didn't get 'em, and one time I forgot and had to do it at night and got chased by a big a double squiggle brown bear lol. well it wasn't funny at the time I nearly crapped myself.
