Me think the latter not the former! </div></div>
Listen, I'm 17 and want to learn about jamaican culture. I'm not interested to start a life where everything is about how good a job you have nor about how much money you got. thats part what i try to state with my dreads. </div></div>
Please go to Jamaica have a holiday then go home.. <span style="font-weight: bold">Frankly you have nothing to contribute to Jamaica apart from that .....</span>. We have a surfit of teenagers underskilled and undertrained. And give the cauldron of history they are much more motivated than you ever could imagine.
It is not about a job it is about adding value to Jamaica, it is not about money it is about enhance the country. the best thing you can do is go there spend money, go home and encourage your friends to do the same. If you want to make any contribution that is of any import to my country, get a skill, get experience then go live and practice that skill in Jamaica. we need accountants, engineers, doctors, specific teachers, mechanics ect not unskilled, inexperienced, unskilled 17 year olds.. what we dont need is people who see jamaica as a place to change their ordinariness , and see our ordinariness as something exotic. Life is not myths...
Jamaicans are hard, we are to the right on the bell curve, we are friendly, we ar motivated and once you leave the urban centers we are hard workers. I say this out of experience of living and working in an infinate enviroments. So unless you bring something for the pot, you are a parasite. My advise stands. go on holiday, buy lots of stuff off higglers, eat at the jerk stand by the road, sit down and chat trusism with locals.. explain to them why you are different to ordinary tourist...go home and tell your friends of your experience!
Cant wait for the name calling to begin....
