well $38.00 of candy is gone!

the trick or treaters were so cute - and the appropriate age

one neighbor came by and didn't say anything so i said "trick or treat" and he burst into tears - he's 18 months old

later he came back with his mom - still didn't say trick or treat but did say "gracias" when i put candy in his little bucket

one little girl was dressed like tinkerbell and looked so cute

but this morning - i noticed that "farmville" was leaking mulch all over the street and the sidewalk - so i have a little chore to do when i get home - i can't wait until the ground cover covers - it's getting better but i still have a ways to go - maybe next summer

and please please go to the polls - this is the most critical mid-term election in years - i don't want "them" to take our country "back" - i want to move forward . . .

Good morning all...

Trick or treaters sound so fun. I haven't had one in many decades. One Halloween, around 1997 or 8 when I lived in my log cabin on a lake... a farmer neighbor pulled into my driveway with two little ones in gray ghost costumes. Gray because the sheets they were wearing were very old and gray. (I hate to say it but possibly off their beds) I always felt so sorry for those two little ones, and I wonder how they are doing today. Mom drank a lot, they had a dairy farm and the whole place and them smelled like cow dung. Now, I know many farmers and come from farming roots, and had never smelled anything like it. I had to go over there once when a friend came to my place towing a jet ski, but the trailer got a flat so he unhooked the hitch and came to my place and we went to get the tire fixed. Either that or I might have had one or something but anyway...when we went to the jet ski it was gone! It wasn't even 20 minutes and it had just disappeared.

Well, we started going to people's houses and asking if anyone saw anything. This is when someone told us they saw "Mary" pulling into her driveway with a jet ski.

Well, so I drove into Mary's yard and when she came out I just said I was there to pick up my jet ski. The look on her face was priceless! It was nowhere in sight, she had taken it and hid it in her barn, and shut the door. Of course I commented on her good jet ski hiding skills as i hooked up to the trailer and drove off. She actually said she put it in the barn to keep it safe.

So much for life in the old hood and the last time I saw a trick or treater!

One Halloween I went out as a bag of tricks! I wore red tights and leotard and wore a gunnysack with a bunch of little toys and candy and stuff sewed to it.

My Bonnie Parker get up was so good I won first prize with my date Clyde.

Well, enough Halloween reminiscing, back to work. Busy as can be in the playing with fire department! Beads goin out the door, have a great day everyone.

u BET... our polling place is right on my own corner, i'll waltz on down there bright and early, while my coffee is brewing.

and i've never voted in a midterm election my LIFE -- but this one truly IS so important...

howdy folks! I had a lot of tricksters too! Many of them dressed very cute. I had enough &amp; was almost out of candy by 8 pm and turned off my lights.....

It's cold and raining down south today....this weekend we are gettign 32 on Sat. am. whew hoooo.

As soon as the sun set, it started raining...and kept raining throughout halloween night. I had less than 10 groups of children. One boy about 12 came alone. He was dressed like a clown, his make up was smudged and rnning down his face. Poor thing, I gave him extra candy.

I took most of the leftovers to work, and have a little left at home.

Saturday night I went to the HardRock, good thing I did. That was the highlight of my Halloween.

I can't believe the holidays are upon us.

I spent Halloween in Hope Medical Center. I had a heart attack on Sunday. I am fine now and at home, but a little weak in the knee. Hope is a fine hospital and I had great care. Had a cardiologist who works out of Mobay that travels to the hospital. Most times I had a Student nurse at my side all the time, checking vitals, caring for me and making me comfortable. It looks just like a hospital in the States.

First I went to Sav La Mar and what a mistake. I will write more later but I want to go rest for now. Missed you all and hope to get on the net tomorrow.

What a shocker!....hope you are doing betta now. I'm glad to hear your report on Mobay Hope for future reference for myself for emergencies.......Have Ted start cooking lots of steam fish &amp; veggies for you....no fried foods! Looking forward to seeing you again sometime this year Or next!.
