Schultz I had internal injuries and a collapsed lung was what he needed to relieve by insurting a chest tube.
(Ask me sometime about that tube n bokkle setup )

Jamiss my girlfiend buys evac insurance from somewhere , she lives in MX half the time. She there now, but will try and find out more from her son.

Hey QK, good to see you on here again. Any plans to return to Ja? I hope to go back in January with my cardiologist's approval. I see him first part of December. Also my first cousin who is an RN and works in an ER in Colorado, is going to meet me in Houston and take the same plane to Mobay. She says she will be my personal nurse for 2 weeks. Of course we will tootle around Jamaica, but what a nice gesture on her part.

We are off the doctors today for Bettys eye check up and are hoping for some good news. Her sight is returning in her left eye , thank Jah.
If the check up goes well we are going to the travel agent and heading to Negril on Friday.
Alice I'm very happy to hear you are feeling much better.
I also agree that Hope Hospital is the only hospital that I would go to, if needed and if I had the opportunity. The cost is little in comparison to US rates and besides that, you are alive and that right there is worth all the money in the world.
I wish you the best and would love to pay you a visit when you do return to Jamaica.

BTW, the other private hospital is Royal in Sav. It is small in comparison to Hope and tho they have better doctors and facilities the Sav Public, they still cannot take in all emergency cases. I know of ppl who who have gone to Hope and then end up in Cornwall General in Mo Bay. Hope is a better choice if you can get there.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all the Jamaicaholics. We are having around 25 people here. I taught my granddaughter J to make pumpkin pies yesterday. She did great. I just sat at the table and directed the show. J is the one who had an ovarian cyst burst a few days ago. She is fine now but scary for a 15 y.o.
I ate so much for Thanksgiving I was miserable. But yesterday I made a turkey noodle soup and tried to behave myself. Still had homemade pumpkin pie though. I don't know why but my diabetic readings are within nromal range even with in indiscretions.
Am working on continuing education for my tax license. I am doing correspondence again. It seems to be easier on my leg problem because I can start and stop as needed where if I were in a classroom, I'm pretty well stuck there.
Re health, heart is still fine. Leg is pretty bad. I am going to try acupuncture. I took percoset for the pain the other day and woke up the next morning and had to throw up again.
Good evelin all and JMiss I am so happy to hear you are doing better. One day at a time, and I wish you well on the leg pain thing. I used to go have cortisone shots in my back for pain that ran down my leg. The surgeon who did them told me he would bet that after I had a hip replacement the pain would be gone. He then went on to tell me about his own father, who was in the hospital about to go through spine surgery....
Well, at the last minute they discovered it was not his back at all, but his hip that was causing him so much pain. So much stuff can show up in exrays as we get older it is sometimes hard to tell. The guy went on to have a hip replacement instead of a back surgery and walla, he was cured!
That's not to say that the old bod doesn't have wear and tear galore on the spine but symptoms can come from other places and now I can go out and turn a few tiles, just gimme some Blues to dance to! I haven't had another cortisone in my back since.
I just cleaned my work bench! Oh God please don't let me go that long again.
I am making blue ice so I only have blue at the ready now, not every shade of every color sitting in a pile to dig though mid bead. I did my holiday cleaning this week so now I am cleaning out here in my shop while I wait for ice beads to cool off in the kiln.
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! I hung out with dogs in northern Minnesota and cooked myself a rib eye. I had planned to go to my brothers 3 hours each way but a snowstorm thwarted those plans! I didn't over eat and I didn't miss turkey much. The only thing I did miss is my northern lake grown wild rice dressing, but I can have that anytime. Come to think of it maybe I'll have it tomorrow!

Marnin Rootsie and Stormmey! Yes, mi did peek in a little bit yesterday! Was so happy to be home from northern Minnesota where I stayed with my dogs for the holiday. Was going to go to my brothers but a storm thwarted that plan so I played with beads all day and had a rib eye. The worst part was being interrupted in the middle of my big art necklace I'm making. So far I have 33 beads made for it and today I should hopefully have enough to finish it.
