On the same token we had to work outside when it was 100 above too, and that was worse. At least when it's cold you can put on enuff clothes to stay warm. The worst was when I worked road construction and hat to wear that plastic hard hat and big clunky steel toe boots and a plastic orange vest over my clothes when it was 100 and work in the hot sun on concrete so hot you could fry eggs. That was far worse than this. </div></div>the extreme cole me just cant stand..

i live in the First City on the northeast coast of Florida

at 8:24 AM it is 62 degrees and raining

i think the best temps are mid March to end of May

after that it's HOT and humid i love it [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/inlove1.gif[/img]

until mid September

i expect it will be well over 70 today [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

i'm slipping into my CROCS

i googled it and long boat appears to be in "the panhandle"

i hear there are some glorious beaches there

haven't gone yet . . .

The temps here feel like a rock in less than one hour. While it is very cold here now it is nothing like western Canada which had windchill temps of -50C or -58F. Apparently two little girls froze to death out there yesterday or last night.

noooo Seveen. Longboat Key is off the coast of Sarasota...about the middle western side of florida...it's a long strip of island offshore in between the Gulf and Sarasota Bay. Never been...but i've heard the beaches are great there.

it's even more gorgeous in that area than the panhandle

"my husband's" family have homes in Venice - not too far from there
