Hello all.

As MMF stated, the unclocking that you try in JA might not work, and you end up with a paper weight!!

I have AT&T while in the USA, and am not currently tied to a contract(doesn't really stop you from changing your phone at any time). So about 2 years ago, I spent the extra $$$ to get an unlocked quad band SLVR7. While here it holds the AT&T sim, and as soon as I get on the plane to JA, the sim gets switched.

Works great, and you can use the phone here and there!!

<span style='font-size: 14pt'> Now this won't mean hoot to Daddy in law who is requesting the phone, but here is what I LOVE about my method. I have a Motorola Crazer top of the line here in the US, and that is my US phone.....I have a Nokia BOUGHT IN JAMAICA FOR JAMAICA.

The night before I am to go I pull my little Nokia out and plug it in to charge. There it is plugged up on my night stand signifying that in the morning I am going HOME!!!!!!!!!!

When we touch down in Montego Bay I push the button and turn it on as we taxi to the terminal....this sweet sound comes
ding de ding de ding......I'm HOME.....

I wouldn't have it any other way. ...tried the unlocking thing and it nuh work fi mi...now I know my two seperate phones and two seperate lives were meant to be.</span>

Actually MMF.... I plan to do the same thing so that we have our own phone while in JA. Also, I told Daddy that we will just buy him a new phone when we reach JA. Done talk.
