One year I stayed at a hotel and asked the kitchen to freeze my ackee for my return home the man boiled it and by the time I got to the airport it was soup...I had to throw it out.
Did customs give any problems. Did you have to declare you had it on you. Please do tell.

....the bag in the picture was double -wrapped (frozen) in brown paper and was about half defrosted by the time we got home...
... the ones I got were only boiled for 30 seconds or so....
