<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'"><span style="font-size: 11pt">Monk and Larel-I don't really know any history of the place. It is definitly an old building that has fallen into ruins. It does appear that someone inhabits the place. I could just feel it. Nothing that I saw specifically.

Roots-I know I use the reports for the same reason. It's the reason why I want to write a report right when I come back. It extends the trip for at least a couple of weeks. Panama and JA are still so much a part of my conscious thoughts right now just because of these reports.

I believe the place is Whitehall Great House. It is over 400 years old and was a plantation in it's hayday. You can see mimosa plants on the ground. They were planted to show where the slaves ran away. They close up for a while after being touched. The cottonwood tree is said to be haunted by the ghosts of the slaves. If you look at the wood embedded in the structure with the rock, you will see there was a fire at one time that devastated the main structure. I heard there were plans to renovate the place, but haven't seen anything being done yet. The rumor was circulating over a year ago.

I believe it's called Angel's Trumpet. I googled it aand came up with lots of into including conflicting info saying it's poisonous but then that it's not and often confused with Datura or Deadly Nightshade.

I have a friend in Whitehall that is going to give me a start for this beautiful tree when I return. I didn't want to bother Ted about planting it because he is concentrating on veggies and fruit trees.
