Ruins of a dam in Hanover.

This dam was used to wash sugar cane. Slaves would carry the cane from the fields, wash and bundle and carry them to a storage bulding. I took some photos of the ruins from that building. They weren't the greatest. I have to go through again and see if I can find any worth posting.

The water comes from a nearby lake. Normally it is cystal clear, but I was there the day after heavy rains.

Yeah, but they haven't been Wyndham for a few years now. They have recently joined the Hilton chain.

for all the time I used to spend on the beach when Mr. was working at WB - all the time I spent in the water ... I still have NEVER seen a stingray with my own eyes ... on in other peoples photos ~

Just curious. When my flight was cancelled back in 04, they put us up there overnight/next day. It was nice then, looks even nicer now.

Actually the only hotel where I've ever spent a night in JA.

I stayed two nights at one of the new Spanish hotels in JA. Of course not my choice. But what to do. I was thrilled when I saw rose hall on the itinerary, luke warm when I saw Grand Palladium. And luke warm prior to getting there was a warm and fuzzy as I would get.

The hotel LOOKS lovely. That's about it.
