<span style="font-size: 11pt">After a very long and emotional year I boarded a plane solo with a twinge of regret in my heart. I am missing my boy already and wondering how I will survive the almost 2 weeks before I see him again. I try to brush off the vibe and concentrate on my destination.

OAK to LAX, LAX to MBJ, 10 hours travel time, a few good laughs from my seat mates, and I can finally see light off the tip of the wing…

My eyes are glued to the window and when I get that first glimpse of lush green land through the white clouds my belly flops. My heart is home once again, and you could not slap the smile from my face…







We circle around and back to the coast for landing...






The plane touches down and my heart touches the sky...

I have almost 2 weeks alone in Jamaica!!

<span style="font-size: 11pt">I made sure all my t's are crossed and my i's are dotted on the customs paper... no holding me up to fill in any blanks this time
Straight to the immigration line I go, and what a line it is 150 passengers and 2 immigration workers I am a little anxious knowing JaJewel's husband is on the other side holding a sign and waiting for me. No time to fret tho, I am here and the line is getting shorter with each passing minute. I see the guy in front of me looking at his watch, switching from foot to foot and looking disgusted I go out on a limb and ask if he's ever been to Jamaica before he says no I tell him to leave his hurry behind or he is not going to enjoy himself much. Patience is key

Finally I am at the immigration window, yes this is a vacation, I am leaving in 2 weeks I am staying at Jamaica Jewel

<span style="font-size: 11pt">I grab my bags and make my way out of the airport. The JUTA people look disappointed as I walk past them saying I have a driver

Out the door and into the sunshine, I blink several times and look around for that sign

Of course they see me long before I see them and are coming towards me.

We are all smiles as we head to the car

With my bags in the back and my big booty in the front, we make our way out of the airport and onto the highway towards Duncans Bay.

I tell BarryG my 2 requirements and I can tell by the smile on his face we are going to be good friends

Bossa drives the car towards Duncans and I snap my first few pics in Jamaica...

<span style="font-size: 11pt">We reach Jamaica Jewel in no time, and I am in awe of what they have built here. The house is wonderful and I am greeted with open arms.

First things first, I have gifts

The 2 things JaJewel requested, bagels and almond extract

Now how come no one ever told me Jamaican dogs don't know what balls are for

When I broke out the tennis balls PeeWee and Lucky looked at me like &quot;where is the food&quot;






Oh well, I tried \o/



Fyah the parrot got a toy too, but they tell me he might be afraid of it...

Oh well, I brought something for everybody

I like those trees...doesnt look like it was flowering when you were there but they have these pretty orange flowers...when I was little my friends and I used to break off the things in the middle and play cock fight with them...a childhood memories

<span style="font-size: 11pt">Having barely slept the nights before my trip with Christmas, and only a few hours on the journey, I was BEAT!

The memory foam mattress was calling my name, and I would not deny it...


I told Cher that I was going to lay down a while, and the next thing I know it's almost dark I slept a LONG time, and it felt good

When I finally awoke, the people had checked in upstairs and I missed my chance to see the apartment up there...

Oh well, all the more reason to go back to JaJewel's

<span style="font-size: 11pt">So it is Saturday in the sleepy fishing town of Duncan's Bay, and that means a live Band tonight down at Leroy's on the beach

We all ready ourselves for a night out, and Bossa comes back from his friend's wedding with some other folks and we all head down to the beach.

The group also included one of my new favorite people on earth


Meet Alex

JaJewel and BarryG have taken a liking to Alex, and for good reason. He is the most well behaved, bright eyed, and sweet little man I have had the pleasure of knowing. I marveled at the way BarryG is teaching him.
I gave you trouble about picking on my little friend Barry, but I have to big you up for helping to shape the boy, he is one of my most precious memories from this trip.

The boy danced around and ran from Barry who was trying to pop his baloons

His smile warmed my heart, and made my ache for Imanni a little less painful. Thanks for the joy you gave me Alex, keep on smiling young man.
