I was intending to post 4 hours ago when I first saw your report, but I injured my head trying to jump through the moonitor Gurl, your pictures are breathtakingly awesome, fantabulous, all that Enjoying it immensely and I'll remain seated so that I can read more. Almost to the Mausoleum we see this building and I snap a couple pics.

Some of you know the story of how Jamaica healed me after my mother's death. Mother and Jamaica seem to go hand and hand with me, and I recall DiamondDaves's reports of sitting with Mother Marley...

I am late, I should have come before we lost her. The knot in my throat is hard to swallow, but I do, and then we are there...

We pull up to the front of the gates and park. There are guys outside the gate that want to take us on the tour up behind the property. Had I known better I would have declined and went straight in the gates. Oh well, live and learn... that man was able to feed his family a little more because I am an easy target

It was interesting still, and the climb did not kill me

There was a yam crop and some other things growing up there



Back down and around we enter the gates and I am greeted by these stairs



I make it up them eventually... through the gift shop and up more stairs to the bar...

Here we wait for our group to start the tour...

Our guide was named Crazy, some of you who have been to Nine Mile may know him. He was funny and even tho I knew most of the information about Bob that he spoke, it was interesting still. Crazy asked that I not post his pictures, and I won't...

Up another hill and around the corner, Crazy leads us into this building.



I am one of the first to enter and I small up myself in a back corner.
Once everybody is inside Crazy starts to speak about Momma Marley and I realize where we are...

He talks about how she would greet the people who came to pay respect to her son. He talks about how she would sometimes reason with them.

The lump is back in my throat and I can't swallow it this time. The tears are there before I can blink and they are flowing... All I can think is &quot;I am late momma&quot; and that makes it worse...

Crazy looks at my face in the back of the crowd and does a double take
He ends his speech there and starts to usher people out...
Some notice the big blubbering white girl in the back, some don't...

When Bossa turns and looks at my face, concern is instantly etched in his and he comes to me...
I dig some kleenex out of my bag and try to compose myself

I snap a couple pictures which I choose not to share, and I step out of the building where Cedella is buried.
My heart heavy....

Crazy has been waiting for me, to continue his informational speech. When Bossa and I file in line behind everyone he starts talking again... I hear him speak but I could not tell what he is saying. I am staring at the painted rocks and wondering if Cedella can see me... Respect Momma, respect...

I had to look away, the smile suddenly gone from my face... I trained my eyes on the sky and tried to imagine what had brought the current sorrow to her face, I could not picture a life such as hers, and I had to look back on her once more. She is not happy, and she is scanning the crowd. I turn to Bossa on my left and I say to him the lady looks so unhappy He takes a look and agrees The man between the lady and I gets up, and I scoot a little closer to her and tap her on the shoulder. She turns her head, confused that I would address her.
&quot;You must smile missis&quot; I say &quot;Is there anything I can do? Can I buy you a drink?&quot;

Slowly a smile comes to her face, and I reach in my camera bag and pull out $500J I know that equates to a few drinks but I place it in her hand anyway, and I see a tear roll down her cheek. Suddenly I am full of goosebumps in the heat of the Jamaican night and I am crying too. Smiling through the tears...

I pat her hand and look again at the smile I put on her face. That one lady's smile was worth more Jamaican dollars than I can ever count.... </span> </div></div>

i haven't made it to nine mile yet

i had a chance to meet bob in 1980 at 56 hope road - they were so proud of the new studio

in my heart - <span style="font-size: 23pt">BOB LIVES</span>

but abu needs to go visit

We enter the building where Bob is buried...




No picture taking inside, and that is ok with me...

He talks about Bob some more, and then we are allowed to walk the narrow path around his tomb..

I touch the marble the whole way around and give thanks for the life of Bob Marley.
The life that touched so many around the world.
I am honored to be here, and no words could ever describe the feeling...
