over the years, we have nurtured relationships with more than a few local artistes, giving them a shot to be on stage with a big name act. Ras Slick, Ras Noble, Accent Dougal, and Fivestar are basically our go to guys locally. The thing is, Negril, and Jamaica, churns out so much creative struggling talent...and often times the conduit to make it is set up along a certain pathway...it's tough to get out there. So we always wanted SR to be able to sort of champion these guys, give them their shot, and we know it would be returned sevenfold if any of our guys ever make it. Who wouldn't have wanted Sean Paul to owe them a few favors, for example. Now, he won't touch a stage in Negril, if even in Jamaica. But I remember him being stopped from getting into Wavs one year, before anyone really knew who he was.
So, during the day, Fivestar is a chef at Grand Lido. On stage, he is Fivestar di Vibezstar.
He's also an ill MC.
