When we return to the house the mother says that I should look out back. There is a little cottage industry running back there where three men furiously clean fish very fast, all day and into the night. Then two little girls who could not be more than 11 cut up veg, and fry the fish in a skillet over an open fire. These are then sold to various cook shops cheap, and they never cooked anything. No telling how many back yards in Jamaica this is going on in.

After dinner, we return to the hip strip and I see my boy G walking down there with his fine bow legged swagger. I tell them to go to the hotel and let me out.

Back streets of Monetgo Bay, NOT your hip strip

I catch up with G, and we head to M'ville for drinks down by the sea as close as we can get to the water,

and then end up at the Twisted Kilt for more drinks, and he eats. I tasted it, and the food there is EXCELLENT. I spent a lot of time running from our table to a table with 3 FOINE AZZZED English guys from London. G says we are INTERNATIONAL and need to net work.

So the Twisted Kilt was running two for one Martini's and I am running my mouth with England and G and back and forth. Now the 4 Martini's I scarfed down set the scene for why I didn't make it through party evening in Mobay.

We went to Coral Cliff ,and they had an EXCELLENT live band with a GREAT singer, voice like an angel. I enjoyed this very much, but couldn't make it through an evening at M'ville. I ended up leaving my girl and going back to Floriana to crash.

One morning at Gloriana I just didn't want breakfast food, and they fixed chicken soup for me. Miss G walked through as I was finishing and cleared the dishes from the table....why is she STILL working????

I spent a lot of time looking at all of her awards and memorabilia hanging on the hotel walls.

The morning of leaving I walked the Hip Strip one last time. I walked down to Pelican and had breakfast, then a little shopping. I saw a dress I wanted, just beautiful, and another little something that was inside the shop, now I am happy. Along with my two T-shirts I bought from Sammy at For REal, I am taking little pieces of Jamaica home with me.

As I was walking back to the hotel I ran smack into Fabian, and the person who might read this who knows who he is will get it. He has a respectable pot belly now, and not nearly as fine as he used to be. The attitude is still there 100% nuff said on that.

I am walking around saying goodbye to Jamaica in an unfamiliar way away from friends and people I know. This feels strange, but I am trying to come to terms with Montego Bay... After all it is an easy in and out to the country and good for very short trips. I went to one place call Marqurites for drinks with my girl, and it is truly one of the prettiest place I have ever seen. I am anxious to go back there for dinner someday.

I asked for a few names, and talked to some people, so perhaps when I go back I might get

I memba you., I memba your hair, you were here.....ago...

Maybe just maybe, I can make Montego Bay mine too
